This week was a emotional and exciting one for me, as I said goodbye to Pinot, my sweet companion ride for the past 8 years, and as I closed a chapter in my life. Not many people get attached to a vehicle the way I do, but when you spend over 120,000 miles in a car over 8 years...you get attached. Pinot has been my faithful companion on some major journeys in my life. She has carried my son when he was a teen (with his 6′ 4″ long body) and his basketball friends to many games and practices. She’s made long road-trips with me to and fro visiting my girls when they were in college and on shared some really great vacations. She’s patiently taken me to Vintage Pop Up Shows where she was overloaded with vintage goods and props. She’s gone on sweet camping trips with me and been my bed for the night. She’s moved my crazy belongings on several occasions all over the place across town in Cincinnati, to upstate NY and then lastly to the gorgeous Outer Banks of NC, where I now happily call “home.” She’s been a great car, truck, camper, U-haul, taxi-cab, bed, and faithful sidekick!
Pinot and I’ve had some pretty awesome adventures along the way. She was so good to me for the past years during my “mom” days, major life changes, and fun shenanigans. Gonna miss my girl, but super stoked about the next one and the awesome adventures we are going to share!
