Rex/Fives fucks me up so good. And you *know* I’m a slut for Fives/Echo. 

Okay, here we go. 

Rex/Fives

1. Who is the most affectionate?

You would think that it’s Fives since he’s not afraid to be open about who he is and who he loves, and public displays of affection don’t offend him in the slightest, but really, it’s Rex. His affection is much more subtle, though. It’s in the way that he touches the small of Fives’s back in passing, the slight kiss of their gauntlets during a briefing, the way Rex hangs back just for two seconds to kiss him on the cheek as a silent plea of ‘please stay safe.’ 

14. Who remembers what the other one always orders at a restaurant?

Rex has an excellent memory, but that isn’t why he’s able to recall that Fives orders the same thing everywhere they go, or at least some variant of it. Fives is a sucker for good meat strips and something sweet and dessert-y to wash it down, and Rex can and has successfully ordered for him without him being present. Again, it’s not that he has an excellent memory that he remembers, but the fact that, at least in that aspect, Fives is completely predictable. 

33. Who says ‘I love you’ first?

It isn’t easy for either of them to say it, especially because this is war, and attachment is...well, should be left unspoken, even if they have been ‘together’ for a long while. Admitting that they’ve fallen that deep when tomorrow could be their last day is hard.  But Fives eventually blurts it out, unprompted, in the middle of the night, when he’s lying in Rex’s bed and waiting for him to finish his data entries for the day. He just watches the concentration in his brows, the way his lips part when something doesn’t make sense in the numbers, the soft glow of the stars making him look just a half shade more pale than the rest of their brothers. 

And it just falls from his lips before he can catch it. “I love you.” 

Rex stops, and for a second Fives thinks this might be the end of...whatever this is between them. But then Rex smiles warmly, puts the data pad down, and crosses the room to kiss him.

“I love you, too.” 

41. Who makes the other laugh the most?

Fives is funny. At least Rex thinks so. His individuality sets him apart from so many of the other clones, and Fives is never afraid to speak his mind. Sure, he should probably reprimand him for making fun of the way General Skywalker pouts when General Kenobi tells him ‘no’ but what they don’t know what kill them.

7. Nicknames?

Y’all. If you think for one second that Fives doesn’t smoothly wrap his arms around Echo’s waist and call him ‘babydoll’ you are very mistaken. Echo pretends that he hates it, at least at first, but in reality he loves it and it makes his heart flutter. And good luck getting the giddy grin off either of their faces. 

10. Who worries most?

They both do their fair share of worrying, especially because they’re the only two left of the Domino squad. Also, they’re stupidly in love with each other so of course they worry. 

But seriously, it’s Fives. Not that he doesn’t think that Echo isn’t a good soldier. He’s amazing, but Fives can’t help it. 

15. Who is embarrassed to take their clothes off in front of the other?

Echo, at first, because even though they have such a similar, nearly identical physique, somehow Fives just looks better than him. He feels like he can’t compare. I could go on and on about this had things in season 6 gone differently because whooo boy that’s a lot of feels to unpack but Filoni hates us. 

19. Who kisses hardest?

1. Who is the most affectionate?

Oh, Jesse for sure. He loves being in Kix’s way, stealing kisses at inopportune times, holding Kix’s hand in the mess (or anywhere Kix will let him, really). Bonus points if he’s able to fluster Kix enough that he has to kick Jesse out of the medical bay. That’s a true victory. 

33. Who says I love you first?

Technically, it’s Jesse, but he does it in all of the small little things that he does for Kix. He brings him food and caff if he’s working late, learns how to monitor vitals so that he can help Kix with some of the more menial tasks of being a medic, (yeah, there are droids for that, but Kix rather likes having Jesse nearby). But really, Kix is the first one to say the words after an argument that’s a long time coming. He just blurts it out to keep Jesse from walking away after he’s said something mean to him, like it fixes everything. It does, but only because he doesn’t have to yell at Jesse for getting hurt on purpose just to see him. 

34. Who tells their friends/family about their relationship first?

Fives figures it out on his own within five minutes of sitting in the same room as them. The fact that Jesse is hanging on Kix and Kix hasn’t pushed him off is the biggest sign. 

After that though, the only other person that either of them tell is Rex, because he’s the only one who really needs to know, in their opinion. Granted, Fives is garbage at keeping his mouth shut, so Rex and everyone else already knew anyway. 

35. What do their friends/family think about their relationship?

The only person who saw it coming was Cody. Everyone else was blindsided. Not that no one knew that Jesse was head over heels for the medic, but no one thought that the medic would return those feelings. No one minds, though. They work shockingly well together now that Kix isn’t yelling at him all the time (though he still does from time to time because Jesse is the only one that knows how to really get under his skin)

36. Who is more likely to ask the other to dance with them?

I’m sorry this took so long! I’m so behind, but I hope I can do them some justice because my Jessix feels are so strong today. 

3. Who apologizes first?

It depends. Jesse’s way of apologizing for distracting Kix or something more trivial is to make it up to him with kisses and cuddles later than night. He never actually says the words, not unless it’s something BIG, and even then, it’s usually Kix that caves first, because he knows that he can be uptight sometimes, especially about his work, to the point where he can be insensitive and cold. It’s usually before Jesse just sulks and walks away that Kix realizes that he’s been an ass (because Jesse frowning and being upset is literally the worst thing in the world to Kix don’t @ me) and stops Jesse, apologizing profusely. It’s really the only time they have issues communicating, but it gets better as they’re together longer. 

7. Nicknames?

Are you ready for this?

Kixystix. 

And yeah, Kix hates it. But comes to just ignore it, and then love it, especially when Jesse is praising him behind closed doors with it. 

10. Who worries most?

KIX. Jesse, especially before his promotion to ARC, had a tendency of making rash decisions that landed him in the medical bay all the time, to the point Kix was accusing him of hurting himself just to see him and get treated. Now, Kix always makes Jesse promise not to do anything stupid, and that he’ll come back to him in one piece.

16. Who tops?

Oh, Jesse is for sure. There’s the occasional time when he likes Kix taking charge, but 9.9 times out of 10, Jesse is the one taking control and turning Kix into a giant fucking mess, and Kix loves it. 

20.  Who is the most ticklish?

Jesse is, which makes things difficult when Kix has to do an exam on him and Jesse is giggling like a loon.

2. Most common argument?

Probably who’s the better dad.

They have little arguments over the dumbest shit, but the most common one, and to Waxer’s continued annoyance, is the one where Boil tends to seek action. He needs to be moving always, needs to be focused on a mission and get it done quick, and it drives Waxer crazy. All he wants to do is spend a quiet evening with him, but Boil is just so fidgety and needy. He doesn’t necessarily complain, because when Boil gets needy, he gets handsy, and Waxer definitely loves the feel of Boil’s hands on him, but sometimes it’s just so suffering. 

3. Who apologizes first?

It takes him a while, but it’s usually Boil. He’s stubborn, and he isn’t always sharp when it comes to Waxer’s emotions nor the face that he might have hurt his feelings, but when he does figure it out, he’s always quick to apologize and make up for whatever he’s done with an abundance of kisses. 

17. Who initiates kisses?

They’re both pretty affectionate, but Waxer’s gentle heart usually leads him to be the one that initiates most of the kisses just because he’s such a sweetie, and Boil tells him as such. But not in public. He has a reputation to maintain.

I love me some Jessix. So incredibly underrated. 

2. Most common argument?

Their definition of ‘help,’ specifically in the medical bay. Kix is all about the medicine and the efficient, speedy recovery, whereas Jesse is all about making people laugh to take their mind off of the pain.  “Yeah, your leg is pretty banged up but that’s a total chick magnet,” Jesse says to Fives after an unfortunate altercation with a droid that shot him in the leg. “You’ll snag yourself a hottie in no time.”  Fives cackles at the thought of himself picking up a chick because he’s already taken by Echo (and everyone knows it so Jesse is just being a dick). 

“They only thing he’s going to pick up is an infection if you don’t finish dressing his wound, for fucks sake.” Kix yells from the back of the room.

8. Who proposes?

Jesse, 100%. In the middle of the night after Kix has finally cleared as many patients as he can and has a few moments to himself, Jesse brings him food from the mess and stays up with him while he starts his paperwork. They get through eating before Jesse looks at him seriously. 

“Hey, I have some symptoms I want to talk to you about.”  And of course Kix worries because this is *Jesse* and the only time Jesse ever complains about something is for a joke, but there’s no joking in his tone.  “What’s wrong?”  “Well, I have butterflies in my stomach, at least, that’s what it feels like. My heart hurts when I’m not with you, but when I am, I feel invincible, like everything I do is with you in mind, with the need to make you happy.”  Kix rolls his eyes, but offers him a smile because okay, he is being kind of cute. “You’re lovesick, Jess, and I’m afraid there isn’t a cure for that.”  “Oh,” Jesse laughs softly and pulls a simple, gold band with a single blue gem inlaid into it from his pocket. “Then I guess I should give this to you before it’s too late for me.”  Kix almost falls out of his chair with how fast the air is punched from his lungs, and he stares with wide eyes. “W-What?”  Jesse takes Kix’s hand in his own and bring it to his lips, pressing a kiss to his fingers. “Marry me, Kix. Stay with me after this war and live out your life with me. Let me do my best to make you happy for the rest of your life.”  Of course Kix says yes because this is *Jesse*, the ultimate charming playboy with a heart of gold that he somehow snagged for himself and now that man wants to marry him. 

17. Who initiates kisses?

Usually Jesse, and usually while Kix is trying to work so it’s super distracting and it usually ends up with Kix bonking him with a data pad and telling him to get out. 

They love each other, I promise.

I’m not nearly as well versed with these two, but I’ll do my best!

1. Who is the most affectionate?

Waxer. That’s an easy one. Though he isn’t the one that actively seeks it out. Rather, Boil comes to him demanding affection, and Waxer is all too willing to cave and give in to him. 

8. Who proposes?

Boil. He’s not super sappy or romantic about it, but he does it with that Boil charm of his that only Waxer seems to understand and still be completely smitten with. 

12. Who likes to playfully tease the other?

Also Boil. He gives Waxer shit all the time for how much of a softy he is, especially when it comes to kids and animals. On the other hand, he finds it so fucking endearing because his boyfriend is actually a Disney Princess and he wonders how he got so damn lucky.

Oof. I’m weak for this angsty duo. I’m basing this off of what we know about s7, so fair warning to those of you who don’t want to be spoiled. 

1. Who is the most affectionate?

Rex is by far, not that Echo doesn’t *want* to be, but since his cybernetic modifications, he’s super self-conscious about showing any kind of physical affection. He’s so afraid that Rex is going to be repulsed by him and push him away. 

10. Who worries most?

Rex. Rex Rex Rex. Ever since he found Echo, he watches him like a hawk. He *knows* he’s a good solider, but he left him behind before, and that was a mistake that he’ll never truly forgive himself for. Sometimes Echo finds it to be unbearable, but he does appreciate that Rex cares so much. 

15. Who is embarrassed to take their clothes off in front of the other?

Echo. See above self-conscious issues and the feeling of not being good enough for Rex anymore. 

19. Who kisses hardest?

Rex, if only to remind Echo that he’s so very loved. Also, he loves taking Echo’s breath away. There’s always a cute little flush that paints his cheeks (which is only highlighted more now that his skin is more pale) that Rex would die for. 

33. Who says ‘I love you’ first?

This one is tricky, but probably Rex. That isn’t to day that Echo doesn’t feel it, because he does, but he’s so afraid that any strong emotion is going to push Rex away. After all, he was already left behind once. He doesn’t want to be alone again.
