What about Echo (post skako minor) getting a kiss on the inner thigh? Dealer's choice for who (could be more than one person he has two thighs lmao) would be kissing him.
I'm excited to see!!! i love your work!!
Okay so I have not watched anything to do with tbb and that includes the tcw episodes so I’m just kinda wingin’ this

It was moments like these that made Echo glad he'd always paid attention during Tech's tune-ups. Not only was it best to know how his own limbs worked, but now, with Tech gone...
"Echo?"
Echo blinked as Rex's voice pulled him back into the present. His Captain - well, not technically a Captain anymore, but Echo would always think of him as that - was frowning at him, small and soft.
"You okay?" Tired eyes searched Echo's face, filled with quiet concern. "You had that look again..."
Echo did his best to offer a smile. He wasn't sure he succeeded. "I'm okay. Just got lost in thought for a sec."
Rex nodded. He didn't seem convinced, but he didn't push. Just pressed their shoulders together and nodded at the leg - Echo's leg - on the table in front of them. "You were saying?"
"Right, yeah, so-"
Echo managed to stay focused for the rest of it. Rex had asked for the basics so he could help if or when needed, and of course Echo had agreed. Which led them here, Rex listening attentively as Echo gave him the basics of how his prosthetics worked, how to do simple repairs, tuning, and the like.
"That's about it," Echo finished with a small sigh. "I know it sounds like a lot, but..."
"I'll get the hang of it," Rex nodded, voice still soft, but now carrying that stubborn determination Echo knew and loved. "Show me how to reattach it?"
"Yeah. Let me just..." Echo shifted in his chair to give Rex better access as Rex carefully picked up his prosthetic and crouched in front of him.
"Okay. Show me what to do."
"Here, just like this..." Echo leaned down to guide Rex's hands as best he could. They were warmer than Echo remembered, though that was likely because Echo ran cold these days.
"There." Echo took a second to make sure his leg was connected properly before trying to move it. He checked the knee joint first, then the ankle, then both at once. Everything seemed in working order.
"Good?" It was only because Echo knew Rex so well that he picked up on the anxious note in his voice. He nodded.
"Yeah, good. Thanks."
"'No debt." Rex pressed a lingering kiss right above the border where flesh met metal. His lips were even warmer than his hands, enough that Echo could swear he felt that warmth soaking in through that small point of contact and spreading through the rest of his body. What remained of it, at least.
"Rex?"
Rex hummed, regulation brown eyes flicking up to meet Echo's. "Was that okay?"
"Uh- yeah. Yes, yeah, that was okay."
"Okay. Good," Rex smiled and pressed another kiss to the same spot, this was briefer but no less warm. Echo shivered, only partly because of his Captain.
"It's just, uh- I need my pants, now. It's cold."
"Oh." Rex paused, then smiled, a bit sheepish. "Yeah, 'course. Sorry."
"'S fine," Echo hummed as Rex stood and pressed a kiss to his temple.
"I'll grab 'em for you."
Echo huffed and pushed himself to his feet. "You don't need to."
"I know. But I want to help. Here." Rex handed them over. Echo took them with a grateful nod. "I gotta head to the cockpit to check on some stuff. Join me when you're ready?"
"Yeah," Echo smiled. "I'll be right there."

"VIDEO CONFESSIONS" – REX/ECHO 💖
WARNINGS: clonecest (duh). Post-Order 66, first kiss.
••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••
"Okay, we're filming" the woman announces, adjusting one last time the camera in it's tripod before taking her seat in front of him once again. "Just try to forget the camera is there though, okay? We're just two normal humans having a conversation".
Rex forces the snort away. There's nothing normal about this. Never in a million years he'd have imagined he would one day be interviewed like this; but alas, here he is. And voluntarily.
It had sounded like a good idea, honestly. The young rebel wanted to put together testimonies of survivors of the rise of the Empire, wanted to collect different versions and experiences –sort of chronicles– to be saved for posterity; and Rex had thought it would be a good way to explain the clone's part of the story, to make sure their sacrifices were remembered and the actions that were forced upon them somehow justified. He didn't want clones to be remembered as assasins. As traitors. They had fought with their own very soul in order to help the Republic, to protect the galaxy; and it broke his heart to think all of that may be forgotten.
The fact that he'd agreed doesn't make it any less weird, though. He feels like a fish out of water.
The woman smiles understandingly.
"Let's just start with you" she suggests, her own face almost hidden in the dim light of the room while his figure is bathed in a soft warm glow. "Who is Captain Rex?"
He stares at her; and then, an involuntary chuckle escapes his throat.
"And this was starting easy?" He answers, amused, and the woman laughs and shrugs guiltily.
"We have to start somewhere..." she drifts off.
Rex nods. He'll start with the basics, then. The obvious.
It get's progressively easier. The woman does a good job on making Rex feel at ease, as if he were talking with a friend; and soon the captain finds himself lost in memory lane, telling annecdotes about his time with the Republic and his fellow vods. What they had all lived and sacrificed.
"How would you describe them?" The interviewer, Sella, asks. "Try to make me feel as if I personally knew them too".
It's a difficult sugestion, but Rex tries. He knows what she's trying to do; bring light to their humanity, try to show others that clones were real, sentient people. Just like any of them. She's asking details of their individuality; and Rex jumps from one memory to the other one, explaining the uniqueness of each vod and sharing a few stories in between.
When Sella asks about the clones who have joined the Rebellion along his side, or the ones he had recently helped to rescue, Rex rants about Echo. His vod'ika had joined him just a few months ago –reluctantly leaving the Batch behind–; and something inside Rex had reignited with his presence. Perhaps it was because he had suddenly realised that, no matter how much he had lost, he still had some good things to keep. And he had always been fond of the Dominos; and specially of Echo.
"Seems like you admire him a lot" Sella comments, smiling gently.
Rex has no problem in admiting it.
"I do. He's the strongest person I know" he pauses, sorting out through his own thoughts, and then continues, voice candid. "He was physically and mentally abused and yet he still has this radiating warmth and kidness about him, this selflesness. He's fierce and smart, but also vulnerable and gentle. A good friend, a good person. He..."
Rex looses the trail of the conversation for a bit, thinking on his dear friend, and it's not until Sella points it out that he suddenly realises exactly why.
"Those were beautiful words, Rex" she says, softly. "Sounds to me like you're in love, Captain".
And Rex is stunned and shocked. A million thoughts and images run through his mind; confusion painfully visible in his face before transitioning to a warming realisation and a tired, fond smile on his lips.
"Can you cut this last part out?" He asks, surprisingly calm about it. "I don't think I'm ready for him to know".
Sella nods understandingly. Rex is glad that she isn't one of those reporters who would do anything for a good clip. They're all on the same team.
"Of course. I'll save the file in case you change of opinion, but I'll keep it out of the actual film unless you tell me otherwhise".
Rex relaxes back on his chair, relieved. He knows that if he wants Echo to believe him if he decides to confess, he needs to be sure of his own wants and feelings. He needs time to think about this.
A month passes by, and Echo shares his worries with Rex; the fear of everyone around him finding their own little families and being left alone behind. Rex is quick to reassure him.
"We're free to do what we want now, Echo. There's not a single rule on fraternalisation" he reminds him gently. "You could form one too".
Echo gives him a bittersweet smile.
"I'm... Not sure if I'm precisely husband material, Rex. Who would put this..." he points down at himself. "Over everyone else?"
It breaks Rex's heart; to know how much Echo still struggles with his image and confidence. He had always been a little on the shyer side –though that didn't mean he couldn't be fierce or quirky, oh no–; and that trait had only been magnified by the traumatic events he had suffered on Skako Minor. He had done huge progress since then –Rex could tell with just the way he moved and talked–; but there was still a long way to go.
"You're a good guy, Echo" he gives his forearm a comforting squeeze. "You've got so much more to give than your image. Not that I think the picture looks any bad, though..."
It slips, Rex's afterthought; but it has a desirable reaction, because Echo chuckles and some of his sadness melts, turning into fond amusement.
"You just say that because we have the same face, vod. Saying otherwhise would be like insulting yourself" he continues with the "joke", and Rex quietly laughs as well.
Echo's bright eyes –they had somehow turned more amber after Skako, though Rex doesn't understand exactly how– flicker through his friend's face and then, impulsively, the younger clone cups the older's jaw and softly presses their forehead together. It's a familiar gesture between brothers; and yet, Rex shivers, finding more than that in the Keldabe kiss.
"Thank you, Rex" Echo whispers, releasing a sigh that the captain can almost feel brushing through his face.
It was expected; that Echo wouldn't take his comment seriously, that he'd think of it as a way of Rex trying to cheer him up. Rex needs to find a way to make him believe him... And he knows exactly who to ask for help.
Echo is resting in his room on the Rebel base when someone knocks at his door. He groans, attaches his leg prothesis on his thighs again, and opens; expecting to find Rex or any other vod on the corridor. His face morphs to surprise, therefore, when he find a smiling woman instead.
"Hi!" She waves, a little too energetic for a half-sleepy Echo. "You know about that film I told you about? The one I asked you to participate in?"
The clone nods waryly. It had been an interesting idea; but the thought of his body being exposed for everyone to watch and analyse had pushed him to decline. He hopes Sella isn't here to insist.
"I filmed this a month ago" she continues, almost slapping a small memory-driver in his hand. "I think you're going to enjoy it".
The woman grins, and then turns around and takes a few steps away. Echo, a bit confused about the whole thing, just stares at her retreating form.
Sella suddenly stops and turns around, though, as if remembering something.
"Ah, in case you wonder, I did receive permision from the person interviewed to show this to you" she shoots him a last warm smile. "See you around, Echo".
The clone drops back on his bunk again and fishes his datapad from the bag under the bed; connecting the small driver to it and opening the archive with curious intrigue. He rests his back against the wall, and presses play.
The black screen comes to life; and Echo is surprised to find Rex talking with Stella. He wasn't even aware the captain had agreed to be interviewed; one would have thought that a man as private as him wouldn't want to be inquired about his personal life. As time passes by and Echo listens to Rex talking about his brothers, though, he understands exactly why.
Admitedly, Echo shares a tear or two while watching the vid. It's bittersweet; the raw pain and hurt from remembering his fallen brothers while also laughing and smiling at the small anecdotes Rex shares with Sella. When she asks him to describe them, and the older trooper gives his best, it's almost as if he's slowly drawing a picture of each one of them in his mind; with all their little details and mannerisms. Their personalities and traits. Their dreams. Echo can guess some of them before Rex even tells her their names.
And then Rex talks about him; and Echo's heart warms up and burns bright with the tender, reverent way his friend describes him. It's hard to think and accept it's him whom Rex is so sweetly refering too; but Echo can read the honesty in his eyes.
He's smiling without noticing it until he gasps in surprise when Sella carefully and very gently makes an observation out loud.
"Those were beautiful words, Rex. Sounds to me like you're in love, Captain".
The Rex in the video looks at her in surprise as well; but then his face fills with soft understanding.
Echo's heart speeds in his chest.
"Can you cut this last part out? I don't think I'm ready for him to know".
Sella nods, and Echo's mind drifts off with her answer while he continues to stare at Rex's figure in the screen. He... He's in love with him. He's in love with him? He's in love with him.
Echo sorts a hundred emotions and thoughts in a matter of a few seconds; from utter confusion to waryness to hope and back to denial and forward to unadulterated ecstatic happiness.
He reverently caresses Rex's shape on the screen; a happy tear falling down his cheek.
Echo franticaly searches the base for Rex until he finally finds him right outside the mess hall talking with one of the most recently rescued vods.
At the risk of seeming unpolite and brash, he quickly cuts the conversation and closes his fingers around Rex's forearm; squeezing insistently, demanding all of his attention urgently.
"I saw the video" he blurts, eyes locking with his.
The fellow clone besides them understand there's something important happening between them and smiles before walking away.
Rex clears his throat and twists his forearm around so that his hand can move down to hold Echo's. Goosebumps appear on the small visible sliver of Rex's skin; while Echo shivers pleasantly.
"Yeah?" The older trooper manages to answer, a bit lost on what to say.
Echo nods. His heart is so full of love he can't stay in silence, and so he continues.
"That was..." he shakes his head and rephrases his thoughts. "It's beautiful, Rex, the way you see me".
The older trooper gives him a soft smile. He looks at him with uncharacteristical warmth.
"It's the way you are, Echo" he gently corrects him.
It's so sweet, and he's so happy, that Echo's vision blurrs with tears once again.
He takes a deep breath, and is brave enough to cup the Captain's left cheek with his hand.
"Rex I... I've always been in love with you. The same way I've always been connected to Fives" it's his time to confess, and soldiers through it firmly, burrying his insecurities and worries down and replacing them with fierce conviction. "Can I kiss you?"
Rex answers with a happy, relieved sigh. He softly nuzzles his head against Echo's gently hold before looking back at his eyes.
"There's no way I'd ever say no to that, cyare" he whispers in acceptance.
Echo's smile is so bright and his happiness so difficult to erase from his face, that Rex can still feel him smiling throughout their first kiss. It's a bit uncoordinated, and he chuckles too, uncapable of holding the emotions in as well; but then he learns how well they fit together, deepens the kiss, and Echo melts against his lips.
There's some cheering and clapping in the mess hall, the classic reaction for a heated public display of affection like this, and the two of them pull back laughing good-heartedly, closing their eyes and pressing their foreheads together tenderly. Grounding themselves.
They are still at war; but they are free to love. To give, to hold, to kiss.
A/N: This is a Christmas present for @ct-crosshair, I really hope you like it since you are an amazing friend. Merry Christmas 💙
Rex shivers as he walks through the snow, only a thin coat on. He was being dumb today, thinking the quick walk to his boyfriends Echo’s wouldn’t be too bad. He didn’t need to wear his coat, he told himself before leaving.
What Rex didn’t realise was that there was a kriffing blizzard on its way, so now he’s stuck in it and absolutely freezing. He hugs himself, shivering violently as he finally catches sight of Echo’s house, smiling with relief and now going as fast as he can to get to it.
He pounds on the door. “Echo!!? You here? Please be here.” Rex begs, when he hears footsteps and the door opens. Echo has wide eyes. “Rex, what the kriff are you doing here?!” Echo asks, grabbing Rex and pulling him through the door. “You’re going to catch your death!!”
Rex is ushered through the hall, right to the fire place. Echo frowns as he tugs Rex’s coat off. “Rex, you’re freezing.” He says with a frown, making Rex duck down sheepishly. “I’m sorry?” Is all he can say, making Echo sigh and shake his head before leaving the room.
Rex watches Echo leave, then scootches closer to the fire, sighing at the warmth. He looks up after a few minutes when he hears someone walk in, smiling to see Echo with a blanket.
“Take your wet clothes off and get wrapped up in the blanket, I’ll get your clothes in the dryer, love.” Echo coos, handing Rex the blanket before leaving again. Rex blushes at the thought of just the blanket covering him, but takes it off and covers himself all up. He sighs with relief, being out of his wet clothes.
Echo comes out with a cup of steaming hot coffee, he sets the coffee on the coffee table and kneels down, giving Rex a soft kiss. “You shouldn’t have been out in that storm, Love.” He says with worry, handing Rex the coffee. Rex frowns. “I just wanted to visit, and I’m okay.” He promises, taking a sip of the coffee and sighing. He feels all warm and cozy now.
Echo shakes his head with a laugh. “Of course, well I’ll go put these in the dryer, then how about we cuddle and warm you up?” He suggests, getting a nod from Rex. “Yes, please.”
Echo gives Rex one more soft kiss before he picks his boyfriends wet clothes up and leaves to put them in the dryer.
Rex pouts a bit, but sips at his coffee, feeling so lucky to have Echo as a boyfriend. He still doesn’t know how Echo ever fell for him, but he did.
Rex can remember the day he met Echo, Cody had forced him to go to a carnival, even though Rex had been horribly busy with work, and Cody knew that. Echo and Fives had been there too, Fives carrying a gigantic bear he had won. Fives had walked into Rex by mistake, and it was Echo who had helped him back up. Rex had fallen in love that day, and had hung out with Echo and Fives the rest of the night.
Then he asked Echo for his number, and he actually gave it! They started messaging a lot and meeting up… and the rest is history, and now they’re dating. Rex will never understand it.
Rex looks up when Echo walks back into the room, smiling and walking over. He sits beside Rex and pulls him close, the two cuddling together. Rex hums, laying his head on Echo’s shoulder. “Thank you so much for warming me up.”
Echo chuckles, pulling Rex closer and kissing his forehead. “No thanks necessary, love. You deserve to be warm.” He croons, making Rex blush at the kiss. Rex nuzzles into Echo, smiling softly as his eyes flutter closed. “You deserve all the thanks.”
Echo chuckles, taking Rex’s coffee from him and stealing a sip, making Rex glare. “Hey! I thought that was for me?” He grumbles loudly, making Echo chuckle again.
“Last I remembered, I made you this coffee, so it’s mine. Let me sip.” He says, taking small sips and humming as he warms up inside. Rex huffs and crosses his arms, but can’t help but smile at Echo. Echo smiles back and hands Rex his coffee, before pulling his boyfriend into a kiss.
After a few minutes, they break for air. “I love you.” Echo whispers, pressing his forehead to Rex’s, making Rex just melt. “I love you too, Echo. So much. It’s why I wanted to visit tonight, although I should have warm more appropriate clothes.” He says sheepishly, and Echo lets out a sweet laugh. Music to Rex’s ears.
“Well, that was a very stupid decision, but at least you made it here so I could warm you up.” Echo coos, pulling Rex close so that he’s practically in his lap, kissing his head and nuzzling it.
Rex blushes, but sinks into the embrace and lets himself be held, curled into the blanket as well as Echo. He snuggles onto his loving boyfriend, eyes fluttering a bit as he smiles. “Thanks for warming me up, Love. I love you so much.” Rex says before yawning, making Echo laugh. “I love you too, now just sleep. We can do more later.” He whispers, and with that Rex lets the tiredness of the walk and from the warmth lull him to sleep, listening to the soft breathing of his boyfriend, and held in his arms. He’s never felt any more safe than he is now.
Rex/Echo with 16 featuring the handprint as a soulmate mark?
Echo always thought his soulmate mark was odd. It was just a solid blue handprint on his chest, the hand print could have belonged to anyone and in this war, he had no idea who. Being on Rishi was peaceful, not at all knowing that what they were doing seemed like nothing but it was deemed important so he was going to treat it like it was important, even if the domino squad groaned at him every time.
He didn’t know that Rishi was going to be the hell that cost him so much of domino, his brothers he grew up with even if they teased him and gave him his name as more as an insult than anything else. He had loved them, trained with them and grew up with them being there and they were all gone in a flash.
He had felt numb when Captain Rex was praising them, moving to place a handprint on his chest with eel blood and he flinched, a burning sensation from his chest as he gasped, bringing up a hand to wrap around the Captain’s wrist.
What the kark was that?
“Kriff,” Rex whispered and Echo just looked up at him in confusion.
“Well, well would you look at that Rex. You found your soulmate,” Cody said in awe and Echo looked at Fives in fear. He could see that he was shocked as well and it was too much. It was all too much, he couldn’t breathe as the feelings came forward as he sobbed.
“Hey, it’s okay shiny I got you,” Rex whispered as he brought him close and Echo just broke down even more.
“It’s Echo,” He heard Fives growl from behind him and he was glad to at least have one domino, even if it was Fives.
“Echo, I like it,” Rex chuckled as he held him closer and he felt himself calm as he just focused on the sensation of being held by his soulmate for the very first time. Echo felt safe oddly enough, like these arms would protect him from anything and he found that he liked the feeling.
“I know today has been a lot but we will figure this out, get to know each other and go from there okay? I got you and I am not letting you go.”
Echo sniffled as he pulled back, giving him a nod. He believed him but right now he needed to suck it up and get on the bird that would take them away from this blasted planet. Later, they would definitely get to know each other than, they have all the time, or as much time as the war would allow them to have to hold each other.
“You don’t do this enough,” Echo comments as he bends his knees up to his chest and looks out over the nighttime skyline of Coruscant.
“When would I get the time?” Rex shoots him a look, a bottle of something amber and strong soaking his lips before he passes the bottle to Echo.
“Time doesn’t pass up here,” the ARC Trooper says quietly, and Rex is taken with the dreamy look in his eyes as he watches the speeders and the lights come alive. “Think of it as an escape.”
Rex wants to argue that he looks at the city and knows that this is what he was born to fight for, but he doesn’t, and instead kisses Echo softly.
“You’re all I need to make an escape for a little while.”

Since we're doing Headcannons- I thought of if Echo and Rex were still dating after Echo leaves with the Bad Batch, that they'd do video calls kind of like Anakin and Padme. I also feel like the Bad Batch would playfully tease Echo about how corny he and Rex are.
Yessss @awningdrawing !!!! I love this headcanon! Especially if Echo tries to hide it at first!
When Echo joins up with the Bad Batch he makes sure that he can always call Rex when he wants to, but sharing a room with one of the batchers makes it difficult.
Hunter is the one to figure it out first, offering quiet support and light teasing in the beginning. He wants his vod to be happy, even if he is a reg. After everyone knows though, it’s free game. There’s teasing, snark, small gifts, even small videos to Rex saying “we stole your boyfriend for the week!!”.
Tech figures it out second, he finds Echo in his room, struggling to close up the hologram. Poor Echo is a blushing and stuttering mess while Tech helps him close the hologram. He teases Echo for a bit before booking up the ARC’s helmet with some better gear for holo calls like that. He never breathes a word about it unless he feels like he can update Echo’s holo gear. Sometimes he likes to leave sticky notes of encouragement for Echo too.
Crosshair is third and boy does he ream Echo for it. He’s full of snark and smart ass remarks the whole Karking week! The sniper offers to give Echo one liners for flirting and stuff. He groans in mock disgust every time he finds Echo in a dark room, calling Rex. Of course Crosshair thinks it’s nice that Echo has someone and he’s happy for the ARC, but... don’t let Echo know that.
Wrecker is the last to figure it out, mainly because the other three helped Echo hide it better, but when Wrecker does figure it out it is pure chaos. He gives Echo a great big hug and congratulates him. He’s always asking Echo how his boyfriend is doing and Echo always answers him. Even if it’s a “I’m not sure I havn’t talked to him since the last time you asked me.” He’s the most likely to interrupt Rex and Echo’s call, popping up in the background to say hello, or yelling out at Rex or Echo off screen.
It's another short one but hey that's okay heh. Only three more to go!
------------------
“C’mon Echo stay here,” Rex whispered as Echo breathed.
“I did it, again didn’t I?”
“Yeah, you did but it’s okay,” Rex said, once again softly.
It was a habit of Echo’s that they were trying to break. Echo had a tendency to think about the past or future, always analyzing and driving himself insane. Echo was the very definition of an overthinker and Rex had come to find that out quickly in their relationship.
“We don’t know what will happen but as long as we are together, we will be fine.”
Echo nibbled on his lower lip and Rex had to resist the urge to kiss him. It was only a few moments before Echo gave him a nod before he wrapped his arms around him. Echo had grown so much and yet his worst enemy was himself, it killed Rex because he didn’t know what to do to make it better.
Echo was hesitant when he stepped closer and Rex wrapped him up tightly.
“I’m scared of what can happen Rex, I don’t want to lose you.”
Rex’s heart ached at his quiet confession.
“I’m scared too Echo, but we have each other so let’s cherish the moments we have together now.”
He waited for his cyare to give him a nod before he dragged them to the fresher in his quarters, stripping them both down as he ushered them into the shower. They just clung onto each other as they washed up, always keeping a point of contact even after they got out and dried off.
It got better after they climbed into the bunk, their bodies firmly pressed against each other.
“Echo hey, come back to me.”
He watched as Echo jerked, his eyes landing on him as he blinked.
“Oh, I did it again didn’t I?”
Rex just smiled as he grabbed his flesh hand, giving it a squeeze as he leaned forward to place a kiss on his riduurs forehead.
“Remember what the healer said.”
Echo sighed as he stared at his prosthetic hand, “Don’t get stuck in the past.”
“Exactly, I got you back, I’m not losing you again Echo. Not even to yourself.”
Echo just nodded quietly as he curled up into Rex’s arms. It was a rough journey but in the end they were still together. That had to count for something.
