Psoriasis is a skin disease that causes red, itchy scaly patches. It tends to go through cycles, flaring for a few weeks. The disease has no cure. I, myself live with this since I was a little kid. When I was in public, I did I everything I could to hide it. I would always wear long sleeve shirt all year long because I was embarrassed to show the red, dry thick scales. The look people give you and the questioning of the uneducated knowledge of the symptom was depressing. For so much of my life, I felt like I had to hide because people would think I’m contagious.(Psoriasis isn’t contagious and nobody has any idea how it started). The many hours of driving and years of seeing a dermatologist in my lifetime just so I can show less dry flaky skins to fit in with the world. The cost for medication and visits just to put on shorts and t-shirt in public. I may not be blessed to have normal skin but the journey as shown me what the world has to offer. Please educate before discriminate. I know you’re looking at them when not looking at my eyes 👀 #worldpsoriasisday #psoriasis #psoriasisawareness #whatilivewith 10/29/2020 https://www.instagram.com/p/CG8-awXjEaI/?igshid=1nqfxj7gak95o
