siiiiiiighs big and loud and thinks about my au again. which i should really name. but what evar. thinks about the parallels of lovelace and hera and "she's gone because somebody viewed their work as more important than her life and there's nothing left except her voice wired into the ship, guiding us as a ghost, and she's still talking to us but it's not actually her because we're never going to have her back, and more and more pieces of her disappear every day, and then suddenly one day we actually do have her back. but is she still her? if her body was torn apart and then put back together by someone/something that calls itself an expert but never really knew her, is it still her? does she know? or can she only think about everyone who died and everything that happened while she was gone? how is she supposed to readjust to the role she once had when people have grown to fill the gaps she left and the work she was meant to do has been taken over by other people? how is she supposed to go on living while knowing she was never meant to be given a second chance at life?"
