More than 10 years have passed since the day I saw for the first (and the last) time the pleated beige long skirt, which changed my preferences in fashion forever. It was not simply pleated, the folds were facing each other in the central part, and the skirt was made of some kind of thick fabric

we went to a restaurant last night that we’d been to a couple times before but hadn’t been in a while, i think i only ever got their happy hour burger fries deal which was solid enough but there’s burgers i like more at a similar price point and closer to where we live - but they seem like they have really affordable buyouts for weddings so we were like let’s assess the vibe and try some other things on the menu. it opened a couple of years ago, and the decor isn’t necessarily too bad but it kind of has what i can only describe as a “wayfair best sellers” x “pinterest color pallet mood board”, like light fixtures that in the right place/by themselves might be interesting but there’s like four completely different styles, and there’s this dark aqua tile along the bar but it kind of reads as like…tiktok renter friendly peel and stick affiliate link. and i was like well it’s not awful, and the big dining room area is a little more neutral and cohesive. and then i went to the bathroom because i couldn’t remember what it was like, and it was kind of bizarre. like poured epoxy floor gold glitter over black, and the stalls were constructed of OSB painted black so it kind of feels like you’re in a weird shed when you’re in a stall. the sink/light fixtures were nice though. i feel like a lot of this is stuff i could just overlook at the right price point.
