Mindfulness (as todays practice) . . Simply Being, simply being Present with even the most mundane things is the practice. . Sometimes I pick times where my mind has a natural tendency to wonder. Maybe laundry, cooking dinner.....but those are the times when there is a richness to practicing Presence. . Unlike in yoga or even meditation, where there is a clear intention to be fully immersed and distraction free...these mundane moments offer me an opportunity to wake up to this moment just as it is, however boring or tiring or whatever. To simply be awake. . Just bringing my mind exactly to the task at hand, the sound, the smell, even the ways my mind wants to pull me away - is all there for the offering.
