Well. So in the canon of the show, it’s Dean and Sam’s fault that John winds up the way he is. Sam and Dean fail to get Henry Winchester back to John which sends John down a path away from the Men of Letters. Dean goes back in time, twice, (Sam once) which leads to Mary’s death.

i actually care about a few of them, and fortunately personally i can feel fine-ish since roxane gay and nk jemisin and celeste ng, all of whom i love, all apparently apologized, and i don’t think what they said was too gross in the first place, and i don’t want to actually know so i’m not doing more research but....

not to get preachy, i’m not an author, no problem with ya as a genre disclaimer disclaimer, but like. the ones who truly need to apologize though are the ones whose work i don’t happen to read so like, it doesn’t make me feel uncomfortable which is convenient for me, but their behavior was worse. calling a black student a “fucking bitch” (or later a “raggedy ass fucking bitch”) for accurately saying that books for teenage girls are most appropriate for teenage girls while advocating for a book by a black author about antiblackness in the carceral state is like... not to be that person but a sign of rot in book culture in general. 

like at this moment in the cultural consciousness YA actually does not require defenders. it’s totally mainstream!!! and more importantly people of all stripes are actually allowed to dislike a book and express that opinion in public, and not be piled on three fucking years after she did so

💕 My sense of aesthetic/design. I’ve always had an eye for interior design and it’s grown into a love of doing DIYs. If I had to say what my one natural talent is, its that.

💕 My relationship with gender. I don’t like really know what that relationship is, it’s pretty much “gender? I don’t know that bitch” 🤷🏻‍♀️ but like it’s chill, I’m chill. I’m finally coming to terms with what it means to me to be non-binary and I sure as shit don’t really understand it most of the time but it’s who I am. My gender is confused shrug and I love that about me.

💕 I was, am, and hopefully always will be curious. I used to drive my parents insane with the number of questions I asked on a daily basis. My curiosity has driven so much of what I have done and do and ya know what? That’s pretty dope. Bill Nye would be proud.
