I've been given a few tasks by our kids who are in detention centers, group homes and diversion centers. They said they need basic resources for survival - food, decent clothes, toiletries, jobs, training for jobs (not just college prep), mentors, youth activities/centers, to be able to live as kids instead of being the men/women of the house as early as 12, and most importantly, more support from family and friends during detention/incarceration #werenotperfect #letthembeprinces #letthembeprincesses #theyregrowingupfast #traumainformedcare #juvenilejusticereform #criminaljusticereform #theyneedlovethemost
