So he had been lied to. 'the boy is dead'. Was he now? Of course Klaus was quick to believe his brother's words, the bite looked like a sever allergic reaction to werewolf venom. It made sense that the Gilbert boy in all of his hunter history would be such a little bitch that he'd P E R I S H at the bite of a superior being.
But that wasn't the truth as it turns out. The boy was not only alive, but he was a miracle. Special. Like Klaus. Something that should not exist, and yet unapologetically does. He was born of Klaus even, the hybrids venom is what changed him. Part of him exists in this boy like they were blood. AND YET- he'd been kept from him. Hidden away like a dirty little secret, when in fact he was a gift to the modern supernatural world, and Klaus intended to see him brought up in it correctly. He did not need, nor want Elijah's blessing. The boy was like a son to him. He had rights.
Which was why he snuck onto campus that night, and waited for the boy in his room. No roommate no problem, but the boy had dreadful taste in just about everything. Furniture was a god forsaken lawn chair with a throw pillow in it. And Elijah thought this boy was fine on his own. Obviously his vision was compromised.
At least he hadn't been there long before the door opened and the lights switched on.
"For a boy who claims to be a loner, you are quite difficult to find alone."
