When Kengo’s pissed it shows through his actions more than his words - he’s more likely to punch a hole in a wall than he is to tell you about what he’s feeling. It’s easy to tell when he’s upset, he gets antsy and hates sitting still, pacing around whatever room he’s in and crossing and uncrossing his arms trying to keep himself occupied. He’ll take the nearest chance he can get to go outside and get some air, and depending on what’s got him so riled up this is usually enough to cool him off, wandering around wherever he wants to go until he’s calmed down enough to head back. He feels awkward about opening up verbally unless he’s really pushed; just talking things out makes Kengo feel more nervous and would much rather just vent out his frustrations out in a fight or through training if he had the option.

With that being said though as time goes on Kengo tries to make more of an effort to open up more about how he’s feeling. He knows that going all gut and glory about everything isn’t the best way to communicate with people, and he hates seeing how concerned or frustrated Shiro and the other Summoners get when he lashes out instead of just talking it out. 

If he’s not having a good day he’ll often come to you and ask if you’re up for some training to blow off some steam - to him it’s a double whammy, he gets to take out his pent up frustrations the best way he knows how and he also gets to spend some time with you honing your skills and letting loose for a couple hours. As the two of you start getting into a training rhythm you’ll find that Kengo gradually gets more talkative. At first it’s more about making comments on your skill and joking around, but as the mood begins to lighten up you can see him beginning to relax, letting slip what’s on his mind and venting his problems through his blows. Of course this goes both ways, and he’ll coax you into letting out some of your own frustrations - if you’ve got something on your mind he wants to hear about it! You’ll both feel better getting it off of your chest!
