The Confederation of European Paper Industries (CEPI) released its 2014 Key Statistics, giving a clear picture of the industry’s performance last year. The report includes data about production, consumption and the trade of pulp, paper and raw materials, as well as data on energy and environment. It shows an industry in full transformation, with the growth in output in the packaging sector and a more modest increase in hygiene paper production more than balancing out the continuous decline in the output of graphic paper. Bor-Verbindungen im Leim von Wellpappe gelten als unverzichtbare Hilfsstoffe, um optimale Klebeeigenschaften zu erzielen. Die STI Group mit Sitz in D-Lauterbach hat eine neue Leim-Rezeptur entwickelt, welche ohne Borax oder einen anderen Ersatzstoff auskommt.

Der europäische Wellkartonverband Fefco will die Qualität der Wellkartonverpackungen mit neuen Standards für Verarbeitungsmaschinen weiter steigern. Das Fefco Production Committee hat deshalb 43 Standards für Verarbeitungsmaschinen entwickelt, die jetzt unter dem Titel "FEFCO Standards for Converting Equipment - Technical Specification for Equipment and Processes" publiziert wurde.
