Okay, important style/formatting question that it's important I ask now for important reasons and not in any way because my executive dysfunction laughs in the face of going to bed on time. At least it's the weekend.
Text/chat conversations in fic: what's the best way to format them on the page? Left/right aligned like an actual on screen convo layout? One column with the names and timestamps alongside each message? Entirely embedded in the narrative? I should note this isn't a chat fic but a text conversation taking place in a narrative story, and I'm not at all sure what's clearest and easiest to read.
