Weekly Reflections- 6/27/21- 7/3/21- Divination Word- Retreat- Nishante Divinelove

This weeks reflection invites us to Retreat. The energy asks us to be still, slow down, pause and look within to our own sanctuary, our soul. Retreating, taking time out to meditate, walk in nature in silence and observation can be daunting right? When our minds are going 100 miles per hour of doing this and that, worrying about what happened in past, then worrying about future? Next 5- 10 years…

I’d be grateful for all. 

And be thankful for many.

It’s a three-days reflection this week because I was quite disturbed last Friday. I might have lost touch with dealing with humans. For the past 3 months, I’ve taught myself about self-appreciation, gratitude and kindness. I’ve forgotten about how some humans can be selfish to their own. 

Upon realising, I made sure I never dwell in those emotions and walked on the day, ignoring what could have made the old me, frustrated and angry.

I am glad, I’ve grown so much from last year. 

I wish to continue with this goal of mine, confidently and expressively.

Sometimes, we believe what others say about us because they make it sound like they care. And a lot of times, they don’t. Especially when they start telling you about what you should do, instead of what you can do.

It is easy to assume and say, “If you continue to behave this way, you will never achieve what you wish to.” Just because they say so, doesn’t mean it’s true. Just because their words made sense, doesn’t mean you have to believe in them. You make your own choice. You live your own life. You write your own story.

What have I learned this week?

I believe in my ability to achieve all the goals I’ve set for my life. I take responsibility of the daily choices I make. I make no excuse to complete every single problem I come across because only I can do so to make things right for me. 

No one dictates my life. 

I am strong. 

Web Design to me is the planning and creating of a website or web page which will be viewed by users. Some parts of web design include the layout, color , design, graphics, content, font pictures e.t.c.Web development is basically the part where a developer takes action and brings the ideas of a web designer to life.Why is it important? I literally cannot do what I am doing right now without web developers, Because of web designers and web developers we are able to search and create endless things. It is a great advertisement for businesses.Well yeah, getting a degree especially in computer science, is a great for the requirements of being a web designer and/or a developer. But the most important thing is experience. If you do not have experience, the degree doesn’t matter whatsoever( okay it kind of does).There are many different types of websites!  Blogs, Business, Crowdfunding, media, social media, personal, educational, government, news, to name a few, there are definitely many more types!Having a menu so users can navigate around the website, pictures, because a website without at least one picture, is boring and no one wants to look at that. Some websites have also added animation and others have gone for a minimalistic look.

I remember using tumblr back in middle school/early high school, and getting excited in the fact that i could play around with the website and making personal to me. When Professor Chavez brought up using tumblr as a beginner to how websites are built and designed, I was too excited because it has been a long time since I touched my tumblr page. We created and chose our themes and added a couple pages to it, and I hope to see more cool things done to it ( like adding a music player to the site!).

My intentions for taking this course, is to get a better background in Web development. To learn the ins and outs of a website at a beginner level and hopefully at a professional level in the future. From this course, I will learn a more about how the World Wide Web works and how my role in the future will benefit it. My goal is to be a Full Stack Web Developer and I have to start somewhere right? I hope to learn how to approach the planning and building of a website, how the web will interact with it, and how to approach any problems I face when creating websites and/or apps in the future!
