Snippets from the weekend. Friday Night Pizza Night. -The kids went to a club at @davidlloydlincoln while me and @pixelateddad had a date night. Well I say date night we both did a bit of work and chatted & ate pizza Saturday planning - I started the day outside in beautiful warm sunshine grabbed my note pad and created a new master list. Love a list it also gets those niggly jobs from your mind and onto paper freeing your mind to focus on other things. Mother’s Day - it’s a funny one isn’t it, you expect breakfast in bed, kids living on you, no rows, after all when you struggled with infertility for so long that’s the dream you had wished for all those heart breaking mothers days. In reality just because it’s a “special day” that doesn’t mean kids won’t get emotional, won’t ask for you to do xyz. It also doesn’t mean they will wake up before you to make breakfast in bed. Though it does mean snuggles are that extra but special. We spent most of the weekend ticking off some jobs I’d put on my master list. There’s still a way to go but that’s the joy of a master list. You can just potter along. There’s never really a deadline. However you spent the weekend I hope you were able to embrace the imperfectly chaotic moments. Don’t forget, the village opens soon.
