I participated in a Moomin Secret Santa this Christmas, and my gift is for @weebiter . I drew their portrayal of Little My as an adult with her daughter and brother. 

“Well, good afternoon, traveler.”  A familiar voice carried on the breeze warmly before the woman could even be sighted. She held a fur robe tightly around her body to keep herself from the cold winds that were making their way into the area and she looked like she had less energy that perhaps she might’ve in the warmer months or in a warmer part of the world. The cold just had a way of making her weak and sleepy and drain a lot of her energy. It was a time of rest for many creatures after all.

“Well, what would you like to know, Mymble?”

     “ Now pay attention; this here be a Vinea amplexus.  Or as I call it, the Hugging Love Plant!  Not only is it very massive but it’s constrictive! Like a Venus Fly Trap!!

        The ancient matriarch’s smile widened, her eyes crinkling as she felt his small hand within her own. He was a hard worker, that much she could tell, and there was a reverent air about him. Unlike so many of the younger generations, he still respected the earth and all its spirits. In turn, Ealga would grant him the same courtesy. 

“I am many things to that isle,” she answered enigmatically. “Ambassador, historian, prime minister, queen... goddess. Ah, but perhaps you will understand better through a visual demonstration.” A new mischievous light entered her eyes, her features struggling between wisened grace and youthful exuberance. 

Honestly, ever since her beloved father freed her all those moons ago, she’d been itching for chances to show off.
