OPEN STARTER ( avengers preferred; this includes peter parker )
The Avengers. Best of the best, top of the line when it came to heroes, and despite many an attempt at joining their little group, every letter was either returned to its sender or answered with a firm no and a signature from one of the team. Normally, it was Stark that penned the bold word, that signed and dashed his name accordingly, but when it was blue pen, dark but noticeable, he knew it to be someone else.
what a fucking joke you? an avenger? of course they don’t want you to join look at yourself PATHETIC
So, he did the next best thing, the one thing he hadn’t planned to do lest the letters truly changed to ones of positive affirmation and a joyous plea for him to partner with them - he was gonna give up killing for them! he was gonna be a good guy! - or ones of venom only visible to his paranoid mind. And this was definitely a time for the latter to influence his decision.
In truth, it proved tricky, getting even close to the Tower, and low and behold the trouble only quadrupled when he finally broke into the building. Alarms sounded, frantic voices echoed, and he was ultimately detained in some lower level, in dim lighting and with a guard to watch over him. Did they really think him so petty as to come bearing a killing streak? He’d just wanted to talk! To explain why he thought he’d make a good Avenger, and what did they do?
we should kill them after all they don’t deserve us we promised more than we should have and they still turned us down! we should kill them all grab a gun and a katana start slicing and slashing like a ninja we should kill them KILL THEM, WADE
What poetic justice that they’d sealed his hands in some...contraption meant to keep him from causing damage to anyone, much less himself. The voices continued shouting and tearing at his fragile mind, until a loud clank sounded and his gaze raised from the floor - they were kind enough to keep him masked and suited - to follow the new individual deemed to what? Interview him? What a joke.
