Our summer bonanza comes to end with the final artwork featuring none other than Amanda Bright! As you can tell from her bikini, this is a continuation from the summer collab artwork that was done earlier in July. As such you can spot some familiar faces. xD

Kryptonians have two meditative arts called torquasm Rao and Torquasm Ro that allow for astral projection, mental defenses, and other mental based skills.

Meaning Superman knows techniques on par with the Tibetan Monks batman learned from meaning this interaction could have happened

Batman: "yes martian manhunter I learned a technique that allows me to shield my thoughts from telepaths like yourself. Meaning I am the most qualified to fight this psychic threat"

Superman: "oh you also know the Kryptonian techniques? Yeah they're pretty awesome manchester black couldn't reach my mind without my say so it's very helpful"

Batman: "... Kryptonian techniques?"

Superman: "oh yeah meditative martial arts really helpful J'onn try reading my mind"

Martian manhunter: "... It seems I can't pierce your thoughts superman"

Batman: "but wait no I thought I was the only one who could do that... This can't possibly get anyworse"

I was watching a friend of mine Play Spider-Man 2 and was hit with a wave of nostalgia for my old Superhero OCs. Since doubt I'll ever really revisit them I thought It'd be interesting to share what I had on them.

Sporella

Her real name was Trisha (last name undecided). she was about 5’5” tall (6' 3" in hero form), had long black curly hair, dark skin, green eyes, and that was all I had on her appearance.

She was a mycologist who... through some means I either forgot or never specified, gained the ability to transform into a hero. She would gain almost a foot of height, glowing eyes and a mushroom cap like headdress with tendrils, and her powers would be...mushrooms. She could cause them to grow rapidly and huge, trap criminals in cages inspired by the Bridal veil Stinkhorn, create platforms, etc. She would also have the ability to fire various spores with differing affects like paralysis, blinding, sleep, etc. Her powers were limited however because the environment needed to be cool and not too dry otherwise here abilities were severely weakened.

This was the only drawing I ever attempted of her from around 2020.

Pigeon Girl

Real name Holly ... (last name once again undetermined) the idea for her came to me by watching pigeons while waiting for a bus. She's about 5 ft tall possibly under? very short. Round in shape with grey eyes behind big circular glasses and curly brown hair. She's also a double bellow the knee amputee. She had regular prosthetic legs and used a cane normally but as Pigeon girl she had robotic talons and wings! She would swoop in and hit bad guys with her foot-fists, or pick them up and carry them away. She was also friends with all the local pigeons and so she could call on them to cause havoc when needed. No pictures sadly as I never did end up drawing her.

Highspot

Real name: Becky Bryan Pro wrestler turned accidental super hero. I actually have a lot of lore written up on her! She's a trans girl who was kicked out of her home by unsupportive parents and basically "adopted" by an indie wrestling promoter and became a wrestler. While her new dad is supportive, she decides to wrestle as male until she feels more comfortable in her body and self (she is actively transitioning) She mainly works as "enhancement talent" (Jobber) losing to build up other stars, filling out multi person matches, etc. She's blonde, with Blue eyes (though that changes later) and about 5'9ish with an athletic build. Her origin story: While working on a show in a less well reputed part of town, she is offered strange performance enhancing drugs. She succumbs to the peer pressure and accepts them. However, these drugs were actually experimental super-soldier serums being developed by ... someone. I forget. big evil company idk. The night goes on fine but after a few hours everyone who took the serum starts feeling really sick. Becky goes home and is completely disorientated and delirious. she's snapped out of it by her Hormone alarm, which snaps her out of it long enough to take her spironolactone testosterone blocker and pass out. The spiro reacts to the serum and actually causes it to work as intended and she wakes up changed. Her powers: Enhanced Strength, Enhanced Speed, Enhanced Agility, Enhanced Reflexes, Enhanced Hearing. another side affect is heterochromia, one of her eyes turns green.

Some mask designs I drew inspired by various luchador masks. yes the colours were the trans colours because I was and am very unoriginal. Her personality was kinda like a Deadpool/spider-man type, very referential and trash talky, but with a heavy lean towards pro wrestling references. she used a lot of Wresting like weapons (kendo sticks, steel chairs, bags of mystery powder). Honestly, she was mostly inspired by this comic book cover I saw, heh.

Last I watched the movies I was a small kid so I didn't understand the implications of war and shit.

Watching the first iron man in college opened my brain because I didn't know the war elements in that one until I was older.

I took a class on super heros in modernism and it's really interesting how we have super hero movies and TV shows now. comics still exist too but different.

Captain marvel was the first superhero with the power of flight as we think of it.
