Big G is making fun of him 💔
me and my friends join the divorce celebration
I swear it tastes better than it looks (also the cut looks like the cake is covered in mold💖💖)
It's rly fucking weird how some of you all's exception for "no one is born evil / redemption is possible for everyone" is the poor kid whose worst actions can literally be explained (NOT EXCUSED, EXPLAINED*) by him systemically being failed by every adult in his life.
The meta is there. The analysis is there.
People far smarter and well read than I have clocked the bullshit.
Like, it's rly fucking baffling how many of you all are okay with DC allowing their writers to publish this shit in their books.
Bitch?!
First of all, Superman is not talking about Red Hood Jason here; he is talking about Robin Jason.
When Bruce gave Jason the cape, there's no way he could've guessed the what would have transpired afterwards.
And no, that's not a defense of Bruce. I am still president, CEO, and chairman of the "Bruce is responsible for Jason's death" committee. We meet on the second Tuesday of every month to trash talk Bruce and how terrible of a parent he was to Jason when Jason stopped being easy to parent.
But secondly, even if this was about RH Jason, you expect me to believe Superman would say this?!
Superman.
The guy whose entire schtick is that kindness and compassion is what makes him human.
That Superman.
You expect me to believe that Superman would stoop so low as to use Bruce's greatest failure as a father and mentor as a Gotcha^TM in some petty ass argument?!
Y'all ain't right.
I don't give a fuck how tired you all are of Jason and all the apologia that follows him. All that shit is irrelevant. The fact that you all are okay with OTHER characters being mischaracterized and used as authorial mouth pieces just to get your lick in is wild to me. Because what's gonna happen next is that, inevitably, your fave is gonna get hit with strays. Cause, quiet as it's kept, this kind of authorial mouthpiecing and editorial meddling is never limited to the characters you don't like.
Case.in point - editorial mandating Huntress being in this new Red Hood ongoing is more likely them trying to sink Huntress on the same ship they're trying to sink Jason on, but you radfem, two steps away from being full on TERF, headasses don't wanna fucking hear that.
I'm tired.
I'm fucking tired.
When are you all gonna wake up and smell the obvious narrative?!
DC has a bone to pick with Jason's popularity. Corporate wants him in books cause he makes money and the creative team can't fucking stand it. They either hate Jason or they resent that their own fave doesn't have his popularity.
There's only so many times and so many ways people can get on here and point out the bullshit.
I'm over it.
*I am sick and tired of me and my clique having to explain that no, I don't actually want to sanitize Jason's worst moments in comics when we try to find to a through line that isn't mired in unadulterated classism or try to rewrite that era's story in a way that actually makes sense for the characters established canon. If your take away from comics like BiB or BftC is that Jason was/is a lost cause and the Bats should've just given up on him (or that Bruce should've never made Robin cause of Red Hood), congrats!! You're either classist or falling for DC's classist narrative to save their cash cows from being implicated in the death of a 13 year old (a storyline that was, and I cannot state this lightly, greenlit by an editorial team that could not stand that the current Robin was a poor kid from the hood and was okay with letting the current writer of the Bat comics violently kill him off for shock value).
And genuinely?! I don't know which one is worse.

Stuck PCMCIA modem card in this Thinkpad belonging to @ms-dos5. All my strength and a pair of pliers would not get it to eject. It was stuck in there good, figured it might have been a 32-bit card in a 16-bit socket or something.
Took the whole thing apart to look for a lost screw, figured it was worth it to keep opening it up to see if an obvious way to remove the card was visible.
Nothing. But we did find the lost screw, it was wedged somewhere it shouldn't have been inside of the RF shielding.
Finally realized that adhesive between the card and the PCMCIA cage was what was holding the stupid thing in place. Wedged a small screwdriver in there and slowly worked the adhesive apart. Once that friction was removed, the spring shot the card right out of the socket.
You can see the residue on the text label there, after we finally got the stupid thing out of there.
Sadly, card is trashed for the effort. But hey, it's free, and the Thinkpad is fine. Fortunately modem cards are a dime a dozen, not much use for these things in 2025. It's the future now, or something.
