Don't really know why my link posts are heinously ugly now and won't give a preview, but whatever because it's chapter 16 of wayf!

Here brings us to the second to last update. Seeing it come to an end after being so wholly dedicated to it for nearly six months is truly something else.

As author noted this chapter has a lot, and by a lot I mean copious amounts of the world's most gratuitous smut. Still, I tell myself, this is the last time in the fic they get it on, so it had to be worth it, right? Something.

Okay real talk, I have been SO excited to post this chapter, which may not seem like it's saying much since I get excited over every update, but this one especially I promise you

There's also something bittersweet going on knowing that after this, with three more updates, WAYF will be finished. I am both excited and dreadful because I don't think I'm ready to say goodbye?? Something

This chapter admittedly came a little slower than most because the exposition is getting gnarly, even though it WAS outlined, but in my defense, writing Louis's POV is like opening Pandora's box of emotional trauma (rip)

Shoutout to @sickyolks though, not only for beta reading as always, but for suggesting way back when the fic was in its fledgling days to write a chapter from Louis's perspective <3 The sequel oneshots I'd like to write also touch on this, but she truly was the progenitor of the idea.

Crazy to see how far Wrapped Around Your Finger has come since I decided to start it on a whim on a random night in November. Now we have reached 3k hits, are almost at 200 pages, and there is even fanart by the lovely @squeaky-potat!

Just thought I'd make this post to show my appreciation. I always joked with @sickyolks that I wanted this to be a hallmark of the Louistrohl tag, and strangely, it seems like that might be coming true. Of course, back then, there were only like five fics, but look how we've grown! So many amazing artists and writers now <3 I mentioned it before, but this is the longest and most serious thing I have ever written. When I started it, I didn't know if I could see it through, but all of the incredible reception and even friends I have made along the way have made it possible, and all so worth it.

Anyway, perhaps this is super corny, but if you are a reader--thank you! We still have six more chapters to go (not including 12, which is halfway written ;-p), but I am already bracing myself for the bittersweet end.
