She smiled at me, I smiled back
Chapter Three:
I donât know when I started running, but I reached the building I lived in (right next to my momâs) and hurriedly ran up the stairs and into my studio flat. I threw my bag somewhere and took my phone out. I tried finding out what this could mean, what these cracks on my arm meant and what I could do about.
All of a sudden, Julieâs notebook came into my mind. She had a diagram, where she had drawn small circles, and inside them, like a timeline, were cracks, going from light to dark to just breaking in.
I was then filled with both fear and hope. Julie might know what to do.
I called her number, waiting for her to pick up anxiously.
Now, you may be wondering why I didnât call the ambulance as yet or called a doctor.
Look, if I could do that without being immediately judged, I would do it. But, Iâd rather not embarrass myself in front of a bunch of doctors even if my condition is quite weird and concerning. The doctors of this world are quite conservative, who have major judgment issues. Iâve always been judged by doctors if Iâve never answered âcorrectlyâ when theyâve asked me questions like âWhat would you do in âxâ situation?â or âWhat exactly is your tolerance for âxâ? So I resort to natural solutions. Right now, the natural solution is calling Julie.
âHello?â Julie asked.
âJulie! Hi! Uh, well, somethingâs wrong with me. I got these cracks on my hand, and it feels like its glass, and Iâm really scared. I saw these drawings on your book which made me think youâd be able to help me so here I am, asking you. But if you donât want to I totally get it like-â
â-Whoa! Whoa! Whoa! Hold up! What do you mean by cracks on your hand? When did this happen?â she interrupted me. Wisely stopping my anxious rant of apologies. âAlso, where do you live? Let me come see you.â
âI live in the building next to that Arabilla building, come to 203,â I took a deep breath. âSo, I had first felt a part of my skin go dry like somehow all air or moisture had been sucked out. This happened when I was on the way home, in the metro. Then I had touched it, wondering what it was, but then it felt like glass! And then I pulled away cause I didnât want to break my handâŠI guess. I donât know whatâs going on, do you?â Fear was climbing up my body. I felt myself go cold, and then I tried to quickly calm myself down. I thought that if I made myself go cold anymore, the cracks would spread faster.
Turns out, I was right. The cracks on my arm had already spread over my forearm, feeling emptier by the minute. Fear was clutching at my heart now.
Apparently, confusion, mixed with anxiety, and fear for your life isnât the best combo for little olâ me.
I could hear Julieâs huffs as she ran out of her house. We had both realized that we lived quite close to each other during our conversation. She lived at least 5 minutes away from my home.
âWell, right now, I can only think of one thing thatâs happening to you, and itâs very rare,â she said, emphasizing on the âveryâ. âYouâre experiencing a situation where you find out who you are as a person, but physically.â
âWhat?â
âItâs gonna tell you who you are, but in a really artistic way! Youâre going through some weird shit! Youâll see what I mean later. Iâm getting close, stay calm!â she cut the call.
âOkay. Yeah, I can do that.â I said to myself.
No, I cannot do that.
This is weird. Though not odd, Iâve read enough of mythology to know that this was some extra special magical stuff back-in-the-day.Â
By back-in-the-day, I mean âB.Câ back-in-the-day. Like, Gods would bless most people to have the ability to know how to describe themselves in words. But some wouldnât. Thatâs basically the entire story in short.
People like me werenât mentioned much in history. Or maybe our history was erased. Maybe it was never even documented. Who knows? I sure as hell donât.
Stay calm you idiot! Listen to Julie!
Right. Of course.Â
aww...so bright so shinnyÂ

Voici la premiĂšre chanson de lâalbum de Vince Dolphin que je suis en train de mixer (et masteriser). Câest trĂšs beau et il y a un super travail de crĂ©ation visuelle de la part de Lambert Duschene. StylĂ©.
