A few days ago, I defeated Lace, and that in a really funny way.
I defeated her with style UwU
(also known as the "Princess Finisher" xD)
And pls, dont consider the random noise after defeating she. That's just me trying to hold back a laugh!
And I'm 100% sure Lace will be a real glitter fairy afterwards, like Tinkerbell, she'll be spreading glitter everywhere for weeks afterwards x) If we can help her by shaking it out? 🤔
Please don't judge me for using the mirror. It has saved my life many times!

Okay, I found First Sinner yesterday after finding the key by chance. I thought I had to defeat the Grieving Broodmother to get it. (By the way, this is my first Silksong playthrough.)
And wow, I love the First Sinner fight. I've heard that many people hate it, but I LOVE it! It's another fight I'm really enjoying!
But I also noticed a few things about the fight. I don't know exactly why, but it feels different from the other fights in Hollow Knight and Silksong. I should mention, though, that I haven't seen all the fights in Silksong yet. (Current status: I still need the Conductor Song part, but I'm exploring a lot right now.)
I think everyone knows that the fight is a test from First Sinner on Hornet. But one interesting thing is that if you lose the fight, she immediately stops and just stares at Hornet. It feels like a judgment, like "You failed," but it doesn't feel negative. I don't know how to put it better. Anyway, what I find really interesting is that First Sinner just stands still. As far as I've seen, all the other opponents keep attacking and moving. She just stops and stares calmly at Hornet. "Trial/Lesson is over."
One thing I haven't quite grasped yet is her Bind mechanic, and that's what makes this fight feel so different from all the others. I've never encountered a fight where you could interrupt an opponent's mechanic. I don't mean the quick knockout; you can obviously interrupt opponents with that.
It feels like she's healing herself. In theory, it's the same animation as when Hornet heals, just much slower. But then she'd be the first opponent who could heal.
Another possibility is that she's buffing herself. This is what makes First Sinner unique and stand out.
But regardless of whether it's healing or buffing, it strengthens her(maybe?), because there was a moment in the fight that I noticed yesterday, if I recognized it correctly. Maybe I missed it in the heat of the battle. However, in the fight, the attacks start to overlap, regardless of whether you prevent First Sinner from binding or not. I had a situation where the attacks stopped overlapping, I couldn't prevent First Sinner from binding, and bam, the attacks overlapped again.
I don't know if it was just bad timing, and her attacks alternate between not overlapping and overlapping, but apart from that, it actually seems like First Sinner can heal/buff herself. Which other enemy can do that?
This makes the fight feel completely different from other fights. This healing/buff, or whatever it does, feels so strange because of that. I don't know.
I only managed to make it to the second phase once yesterday, but I can already say that this fight is in my top 3 fights in Silksong. The other fights are Phantom and Trobbio.
I can already see myself spending another 6 hours on this fight, just like I did back then with Nightmare King Grimm. xD But I'm happy to do it, after all, I really enjoy this fighting!
And I have to mention here that I find it interesting to find First Sinner as a statue. It really confused me, because I thought I'd go into her prison and bam, there she is, fighting me.
But this got me thinking. Maybe there was some hint or clue in the game that I haven't found yet (or perhaps misunderstood?). But are all the statues you find in the game Weavers? Living ones, that is, turned to stone for some reason? I somehow perceived these statues as magical objects left behind by the Weavers for their potential descendants. As tools.
But now I'm wondering if the other statues could have freed themselves if there really were living Weavers inside. Or was only First Sinner strong enough to survive the petrification? I mean, she was apparently the only one powerful enough to have to be petrified and imprisoned in a runic prison. Or were the petrifications not a punishment, and the weavers did it themselves?
I also thought that the first sinner was behind all the statues and spoke to us/put some of her power in those statues before she was imprisoned.
Perhaps this will be explained after the battle, or I'll find a clue somewhere. I know I might be overthinking it, but I'm just having too much fun pondering it x)
I'm already looking forward when I playing Silksong again. Let's see if it reaches NKG level or if I can defeat her faster.
The yapping is over, for now.
(If you've read this far, respect and thank you! 💙 )
Hornet was a wild child in the White Palace, especially during the early days, after Herrah had become a Dreamer. Deepnest was a world apart from the White Palace, even though Hornet had visited it a few times. She never truly felt at home there, everything was simply too bright in stark contrast to Deepnest. There were rules she disliked. Then, her mother was gone, a loss the young Hornet naturally grieved, though she did not yet fully grasp why her mother was no longer present or why she would not wake up.
Right up until the time Hornet was sent to Queen Vespa and the Hive, the young Hornet kept the entire palace on its toes. The palace servants had their hands full looking after her. Yeah, Hornet run a many time away, hide somewhere in the palace. She scattered a few nets, or perhaps just scraps of Silk, they were lying around everywhere. She hates being caught, and the servants maybe got some bites or scratch. Perhaps she even captured one or two palace servants and residents in silk… Eventually the palace servants gave up trying to tidy their room over and over again, because Hornet was always redecorating her room, of course. Hornet didn't break anything, but she did, for example, darken her room.
When she returned to the palace from her time with Queen Vespa, she still disliked the place, she remained a wild child, albeit on a whole new level. Things like ignoring certain orders or even skipping classes. Balls or audiences were also a very difficult topic for the servants Hornet to motivate for.
Generally speaking, the palace servants and residents had their fun with Hornet.

Hornet doesn't particularly like being carried. She likes being independent. Furthermore, she prefers to finish her tasks before allowing herself to rest. In doing so, she very often pushes past her own limits. Demigoddess or not, even she needs to rest, sleep, and eat every now and then. Simply take some time for herself. Grimm reminds her of this regularly, and sometimes he even has to force her to rest.
That is why he often carries her to bed. Usually, he tries to carry her gently, like a bride in his arms. However, there have also been plenty of times when he simply threw her over his shoulder, or even grabbed her with his wings and carried her to bed by the scruff of her neck, just like a kitten. lol.
It all depends on how much Hornet puts up a fight. If she is very tired, nearly drifting off to sleep, Grimm can carry her without any resistance. In fact, thanks to his warmth, Hornet often falls asleep in his arms before they’ve even reached the bed.
Otherwise, Hornet is quite capable of putting up a struggle. She is a little wild child, after all. And sometimes Grimm finds himself wondering whether he is dealing with a grown adult or a child who simply doesn't want to go to bed at night.
And just as Hornet refuses to go to bed, she also refuses to let her wounds heal. Grimm has to constantly restrain her and force her to let her wounds heal. Silk can't always heal and repair everything. And even in those situations, she refuses to be carried. She would rather risk collapsing than let Grimm carry her, even just once. Perhaps she’s just a little bit stubborn!
Grimm loves to wrap Hornet in his wings whenever they are alone together. He enjoys keeping her warm - especially during cold or foul weather.
Even if Hornet doesn't say it out loud, her body language clearly shows just how much she enjoys it. There are only a few places where she can completely relax and let her guard down. It has happened more than once that she has fallen asleep almost instantly while being warmed by Grimm.
When this occurs, Grimm knows full well that Hornet has been through a grueling time - one where she had little opportunity to rest and her senses were forced to operate at full alert. For this reason, he always lets her sleep and is reluctant to wake her - even when Hornet tries repeatedly to convince him otherwise, insisting that he should wake her. He never does, however, because he knows that Hornet needs this sleep.
It doesn't happen often, but for that very reason, Hornet cherishes those moments all the more when she lies atop him while they sleep together in bed. Especially after she has molted, she loves nothing more than being wrapped securely within his wings and snuggling into his fur.
Grimm is the only one who can persuade Hornet to dance with him, to truly dance, not just engage in their combat rituals.
While at the White Palace, Hornet always skipped her dance lessons. Consequently, she also made a point of avoiding any balls or events where dancing took place. She would either fail to appear entirely, make a quick exit, or simply linger at the periphery so as not to be easily spotted.
If someone did happen to ask her for a dance, she would politely decline.
Before they became a couple, Grimm had asked her for a dance. She declined, but he did not give up. He politely asked her for a dance several times until he finally asked her to be honest with him.
At this point she told him the truth, that she couldn't dance, and that she had avoided balls and dances. Grimm, still unfailingly polite, remained undeterred and asked her once more. This time, Hornet actually agreed, realizing that he would not judge her for her lack of skill, and that he genuinely simply wanted to dance with her, free of any political or ulterior motives.
It was once whispered among the people of the Palace that whoever managed to get Hornet to dance would surely become her mate. They were right…
