The Bermuda night heron is an extinct heron from Bermuda. It was described by Storrs L. Olson & David B. Wingate in 2006 from subfossil materials in caves and ponds in Bermuda. Its anatomy was similar to the Yellow-crowned night heron, but it had a larger bill, head, and legs. It likely adapted to eating land crabs. The yellow-crowned night heron was introduced to act as a replacement for the Bermuda night heron in the ecosystem. It likely became extinct due to the settlement of Bermuda
