I was the “dinosaur kid” back in grade school and my recent work has honestly been a return to form for me. Honestly I would love to talk about dinosaurs and Jurassic Park all day.  Anyway Questions: 

What’s your favorite dinosaur 

Honestly it’s a toss up between Tyrannosaurus Rex, and Utahraptors. In fact one of my oldest and dearest OC’s is a Were-Utahraptor, her name is Susan “Sue” Orion.  I would love to bring her story back in some compacity some day.

Again by virtue of them having been the animal I’ve drawn the most over the years, Utahraptors (feathered)/ Jurassic park style Raptors. 

there one you want to draw, but haven't tried yet?

Oh there are several but we’ll get there when we get there. At the top of the list Brachiosaurus, Nasutoceratops, and  Parasaurolophus Just as well I would love to draw the decidedly not real but still undoubtly cool Indominus Rex.

Do you plan on drawing any feathered dinosaurs in the future?

I loved reading this and your other prompts on AO3, you're really good at making the twins likeable. I admit when I first played BL3 I didn't like them, at all. Near the end after their train wreck of a dad, I liked them a little better. Stuff like this prompt though, made me fall in love with them. These characters are what should have been in the game, not what we got.

God. Wow. Thank you so much, I can’t really express clearly how much of a major motivator it is to see anyone enjoy what I make. 

Every day, I only share content because there are some people who like it and sometimes go even further than just reading and actually interact with me in any way, and it is the total reason I continue to do it. 

Sharing ideas, fics, character breakdowns, it’s all really one big discussion opener, and I appreciate this comment so much! Hell I appreciate people disagreeing with me too, it’s all about having fun discussing things, or enjoying content I’d normally keep to myself or a small group of pals.

I personally didn’t like either of the twins in BL3, I thought they were both empty, pointless, wasted characters. What I liked was the hints of where they could have gone, the character development that was there for them that you could latch onto and create interesting ideas with. Troy is “easy” in that he had enough traits in the game and hints of backstory and development that a lot of people have a similar idea for his characterisation in the canon. Everyone writes a very different Troy with different strengths and weaknesses, but he usually does feel like he has the same source.  Ty is “hard” because she had a lot less given to us to actually work with, so writing her it feels a lot trickier to keep her “in character”, there was so little character to research. She’s more straight up fiction than fanfiction to write I think, and it’s probably why people write very different Tyreens so often. Their sources for her are more self built than using canon. It’s harder to look at what we got ingame and feel like you have a solid structure to construct a character on top of.

I don’t like the canonical twins, they were bland. I like my Tyreen, but she’s not the Tyreen from BL3 really, I like my Troy, and I guess him sharing a lot of traits with other people’s means he is  is probably a bit more recognisable as being similar to canon in some aspects? I’m not sure, it’s very hard to look at what you write from an outside viewpoint.

The Twins should both be flawed, beautiful, horrific, broken monsters who are playing pretend at being functional humans, with different personalities, wants and hopes. They have to have their own personal struggles, their own personal hatreds, and their own personal reasons for the COV.  If they don’t, they are just 2d, flat, pointless wastes of space like they both ended up being in BL3, despite having the possibility of being so goddamn fun.

Well, look who's back! @wataredis brings us an all new (NSFW) chapter of The Timekeeper's Gambit proper. I know a lot of people read that fic for the dark themes-- Chapter 9, anybody? --so you will not be disappointed today! Oof, right in the heart.

@raidbossmade has been busy: new Familiar Path, Different Place and Edge of Chaos. Talk about being on a dinosaur roll. I understand there's more coming this weekend soon, so keep a look out.

@darkmagicdrag0n has once again updated A Queen With No Crown. Oh yes and now with model sheets & also this cuteness. Sweet! "OHHHHH! That's that dragon-looking thing. The one that looks like Eeyore from Winnie the Pooh." I love it!

OK, so my fic project is on FIRE and also I have to run it all at once... you’ll see why when I get there.  In the meantime, I drew two Troys together because I hate myself.  I’m kidding! It was actually really fun.  And yes, I have a side blog for arts & crafts because I am that person.

New this week: The Gambit Drabble Diaries has updated with some very spicy [read: NSFW; Troy x Wynter Dova] content and cheese.  @wataredis​ really knocked it out of the park with this one.  Bring a fan.  Whew!

Also, The New Normal by @raidbossmadi is up to four chapters.  Her Dr. Malcom? Still the best.  Prepare to be punched in the feels when you get introduced to his family! Gosh, I love them.

@michellespenscratchz teased us with a mood board for Chapter 4 of Tales of the Risky Venture Launch earlier in the week, but I'm now very proud to announce that the chapter in question is live and awesome. Semi-related, Rhys doesn't know how to camp.

@darkmagicdrag0n got their MerMay and their speechifying on this week. Tyreen, I think you might be in trouble... I 100% know you're in trouble and *popcorn*.

Events leading up to and immediately after the birth of the Calypso Twins: a love story and a story about Leda and Typhon, though I wouldn’t call it a love story about Leda and Typhon. Inspired by “Tlön, Uqbar, Orbis Tertius”, Bianca by Guido Crepax and those “naughty” fairy tale anthologies from the 90’s.

Leda and Typhon have crashed on Nekrotafeyo, which means two things: I get to rattle on about the scenery there and also... well, I'm very curious about everyone's reaction to the also. If you, in turn, might be wondering about why I went down that road, explanation under the cut (spoilers).
