So recently, I've been celebrating over the fact that I managed to get my bro to read the RA series.

He's obsessed with it now, obviously, and I take every opportunity I can to remind him and shove it back in his face that he once called the series Boring (I know right? How could he!).

Anyways, I was eating in the kitchen when I brother came in and said to me, "I like Handel."

Now, he is currently up to reading Icebound Land.

So, I looked at him funny and asked why, he responded with,

"Well, because he gave Will the rags and the warm-thingy"

That sometimes he crosses a poor addict of warmweed, and he has to deal with them, make sure they're safe etc,

Do you think he falters, as he sees the herbs?

How he has to focus more than anything, when the smell becomes too inputend?

How he'll spend the next weeks, catching himself thinking about warmweed?

22 ...... the place beyond the pines + ghost

Concept was great in my head, execution not so much. It's Will and Evanlyn while they're in the hunters cabin in the mountains. And because Will's still addicted, he's a ghost of his former self. I used to skip the warmweed parts cause I really hated them...

Headcanon that during Will’s slavery, he was r*ped by some of the slave masters. Skandians are big and rough and probably pinned him by grabbing his shoulders and pushing him to the wall or onto a bed.

Meanwhile, he’s under the effects of warmweed so he can’t really resist. He becomes conditioned to the fact that when someone grabs him by the shoulders, they are going to try to have their way with him.

After rescuing him and Evanlyn from the mountains, someone (likely Halt or Horace) need to talk seriously to him and grab his shoulders to get his attention and to look him in the eye.

He freaks out. Whether he lashes out in anger or screams or just sort of curls up into a ball and cries is up to interpretation, but everyone is super confused and concerned about him. He won’t tell them why at first, certainly not until he calms down. But from that point forward, no one touches his shoulders. Ever. They might grab the sides of his arms instead, but never the shoulders.
