"I was thinking though, it might be fun if we baked some Christmas cookies for the ladies? Since I have the next few days off, I thought it would be nice to leave them with a treat.” Harry held out a wine glass for him, before taking a seat.

“Ever the thoughtful boy,” Louis smiled, clinking their glasses together, before sitting beside him. “I don’t think I’m much help, but sure. I don’t think I’ve ever made a Christmas cookie before.”

Harry took a bite of his food, raising a brow. He swallowed and wiped his mouth before finally asking. “Wait, really? Never?”

Harry's moving in to Louis' flat, to test-run living together during the holidays. When Harry has the idea to make Christmas cookies for his students, Louis can only think of one thing he'd like to eat.

“Your eyes,” Louis said with a shrug. “They look a bit sad. I don’t like that. So go on, unburden yourself to your friendly neighbourhood stripper.”

“You’re not just a stripper,” Harry mumbled as he took another sip of his drink, mentally debating with himself over how to word what he was about to say before he figured he’d just say it in the simplest way possible. “I found my husband in bed fucking another man.”

“I see,” He licked his lips softly. “You’re in quite the predicament.” He said with a nod, making Harry look down at how tangled he was in the strand of lights.

“I can tie a knot in the stem…” He said slowly, leaning against the bar top. “A double knot, actually, but who’s counting?”

Louis’ breath hitched, a sign that Harry wasn't the only one invested in this. “Prove it.”

With a smirk, Harry bit the cherry off the stem. He swallowed the fruit before licking his lips, taking the stem into his mouth. He watched Louis watch him, trying to look as sexy as possible as he knotted the stem with his tongue. Thirty seconds later, he grinned in victory as he pulled the double-knotted stem from his mouth, placing it down in Louis’ palm. “I’m very talented.” Was his only explanation.

Louis looked at the stem and back up at Harry, shaking his head and laughing. “You’re unreal.”

that one fic in which harry loves attention, louis is a little guarded, and nothing (including arranged hookups, surprise munches, margaritas, vegan food, mutual (unnoticed) pining, and new career moves) can keep them apart.

so every once in awhile, i’ll be doing a quick WIP update! i know that as an author, i love seeing how other authors are doing, esp when there’s a bit of a struggle involved. i just wanna be here for any other authors, to show that the writing process isn’t always cut and dry. this might be a wash, but if anything it will be a great encouragement to myself! if you are interested in supporting me and my writing process, feel free to read below the cut! (side note, I did take about a month break from writing, between finals and some health issues with my grandma!
