Almost 10 years ago, this CC was created for TS3 by @m1ssduo and converted for TS4 by May Sims.
I always thought it was beautiful, but I didn't have (nor did I want to cause offense by making) a character that was appropriate to wear it. So, I am glad that TS4 Horse Ranch has the Grove family who, I believe, are Native Americans.
I did a little research on Native American headdresses and learned that they are also called War Bonnets. These war bonnets were traditionally worn by the Indigenous peoples of the Great Plains and Canadian Prairies. There are many tribes that belong to these peoples, including the Cheyenne, Plains Cree, Lakota, and Plains Apache. They were both nomadic and sedentary.
Umber is wearing a war bonnet that looks similar to these:
Wikipedia.
Of course, Umber may not be ready to wear a war bonnet officially because he is neither a spiritual or political leader of a tribe. Still, perhaps, one day.
It is still possible to find both versions of this CC, but not directly. For the TS3 version, please search via Google. For the TS4, please check the following sims download post by Casmar Sims (you will need to download the sim).
Hopefully, I have not offended anyone. m( _ _)m (T T) m( _ _)m
If I have, please feel free to send me a message or ask.
What little Native American CC I have found over my time on tumblr is available via the following tag (I have been searching for more recently and will be adding to the tag in the coming days): NA Theme
Many thanks to all CC creators.

This is a quick doodle of a Native American woman from the Great Plains wearing a “war bonnet” representing the respect she has earned in her community. In most of the historically documented cultures which had war bonnets, it was usually the men who wore them, but hey, Native American cultures must have undergone a lot of change since their ancestors entered the Americas around 15,000 years ago. Besides, given how many female models of European descent have posed wearing war bonnets in the past, I thought it only fair that Native women be depicted wearing them too.
So if you get knocked the fuck out on Halloween this year, ask yourself.

The war bonnet. Only a small handful of Native American peoples actually used the war bonnet.
It is sacred regalia, it was not a fashionable aesthetic, it was a sign of bravery in battle. Do not appropriate it for a good photo to post on your IG.

The organizers of San Francisco’s popular Outside Lands music festival in Golden Gate Park have banned Native American headdresses at the event.
“Out of respect for Native American heritage and culture, we do not allow headdresses at Outside Lands,” organizers said in a statement to The San Francisco Chronicle Thursday. “We are committed to creating a safe, respectful and inclusive environment for all.”
