#wandered

It’s a shivering January night,

Cold gusts of wind blow,

Loneliness stays by my side,

My eyes are heavy with drowsiness,

Even the moon is pale and ailing,

A clamor of heartbeats echoes in my chest,

And the ache of separation persists.

January has passed and moved on,

But ______!!!

I laid my head back on the water

The sun is shining upon my body

As I float out to sea

I keep wondering

If anyone wants to find me

And if they do

Will I still be breathing

Will I have made friends with the dolphins

And the seagulls

Will I have learned to swim

With incredible speed

Did I get the chance to hold

My breath

For longer than a minute

But most of all

I wonder

Who will find me

Who searched for me

And I wonder if they thought about

What I think

But maybe not

Maybe no one will find me

Out in the ocean

Maybe I’ll make it across

And end up in Europe

To start a new life

To breathe

And think

And be someone that people search for

Good things happen everyday. And yet, sometimes it feels like good things only start on the weekend. 

Do you ever feel like that? To me, the week felt like a bunch of days that seemed to blur together until I can’t tell one day from the other.

 It’s just FOUR months until 2020 is officially over. This year really seemed to fly by and make us feel like the days escape us. While we try to be SO productive, we can’t seem to remember the good things that happen in each individual day. 

It takes intention to remember the GOOD but I think the GOOD is worth capturing. These quickly passing days ARE better than you remember.
