Thanks <3 tbh it was going to happen at some point or another (mostly just a matter of when/how long we could get the car to stay running for) - it was a really old car thatās had problems for a while.
Anywho, because itās the option thatās the most challenging to me personally, Iām gonna go with Stricklakerot.

Barbara gives quiet compliments or affectionate comments that she hopes the other two will interpret properly (because uttering those exact words will get Strickler and Angor to clam up and go into denial about everything).
Angor Rot shows affection by wanting to spend time with Strickler and Barbara.Ā Rather than staying away from them, heāll bring whatever heās doing into the same room as them and just enjoy the company quietly.Ā He also makes little trinkets and gives them as gifts - along with an explanation if they happen to be enchanted.Ā The first time he tried, Barbara may have freaked out due to their history with the binding spell, but, over time, it became understood that gift-giving is his love language.
That whole event also lead into an entire conversation where Angor Rot admitted how badly being under the control of the Inferna Copula made him feel.Ā Barbara related to him with her own experiences being under the binding spell.Ā They came to understand each other better, and bonded over that.
For the record, Strickler felt incredibly awkward during the whole conversation, but it caused him to start considering things from their perspectives more.Ā He fully realized his past role in their pain, and tried to apologize for it (he fumbled the wording the first time, but he got there eventually - and also started learning how to be better in general).
Strickler is the first to realize he loves the others, but he never admits to it.Ā He feels he doesnāt deserve to.Ā Instead, heās decided heāll try his best to be worthy of their love and show them he can be each and every day.
Who would have the otherās picture as their phone background
Barbaraās phone background is a photo of Angor and Strickler leaning against each other on the couch after accidentally falling asleep during a movie marathon.
Angor doesnāt have nor does he want a phone, but heās created symbols for Barbara and Strickler that heās carved into small stones.Ā He always keeps nearby, as he way of keeping them close to him.
Stricklerās lockscreen and homescreen refer to Barbara and Angor, but neither can figure out which is which because theyāre not actually pictures of them, but extremely obscure things that apparently remind Strickler of them fondly.Ā Angor and Barbara have spend hours trying to figure it out, but still havenāt been able to.
Who leaves notes written in fog on the bathroom mirror
Angor Rot leaves what he considers cute, artistic depictions (it takes Barbara and Strickler a while to fully understand his concept ofĀ ācuteā, but they come to like the doodles when they do).
Barbara leaves little love letters (and also writes them on index cards, because Strickler has a tendency of spending a long time in the bathroom and she worries the fog on the mirror will disappear).
Strickler doesnāt leave notes until he realizes the notes heās received from the other two make him feel good.Ā Then he concludes that itās a good way he can show them affection in return.
Who buys the other cheesy gifts
Since Angor Rot gives the best gifts (something both Barbara and Strickler have agreed upon), theyāve entered into a competition with each other to give the most cheesiest gifts imaginable.Ā The contest has been going on for years and still no victor has emerged.
Who initiated the first kiss
Barbara.Ā Strickler never would have went for it without prompting, and they had to teach Angor what kissing was.
Who kisses the other awake in the morning
tbh Iām not sure.Ā Iām imagining their relationship relying heavily on very open communication and understanding and maintaining of certain boundaries, so I canāt really see any of them trying to initiate affection by surprise.Ā Iām not saying this one is a bad thing, cause honestly the thought of it is very cute.Ā I just see it being something that would happen only after a significant amount of time has passed in their relationship, after the three have come to trust each other more than they remember their histories with each other.
Basically, theyād start out extremely tentative and awkward and move to a point where they could do this very slowly and very gradually.
Barbara, especially when she thinks either Strickler or Angor Rot (or both) are taking themselves far too seriously and wants them to lighten up.Ā Strickler and Angor each have a tendency of closing themselves off if somethingās bothering them.Ā Tickle attacks are Barbaraās best tool to getting them to opening up again.Ā Also, those two get into cycles of self-deprecation and getting them to laugh distracts them long enough that Barbara can quietly get an open dialogue going.
Who asks who if they can join the other in the shower
Barbara.Ā She likes the intimacy of showering together.Ā Itās not something they do often though.
Strickler is very particular about his self-care regiment and doesnāt really like company for it (heās also concerned about being in a vulnerable state around others and it takes him awhile to become okay with the idea).
It takes them a while to convince Angor Rot that he should shower.Ā Then, for him, it becomes a way to spend time with the other two more than it does a method of cleaning.
Who surprises the other in the middle of the day at work with lunch
Angor Rot.Ā Heās the only one who can, considering heās the only one without full-time employment after Strickler reprises his role as a history teacher.Ā At first, Barbara and Strickler have concerns about his skills in the kitchen, but then they find out heās actually a really good cook.Ā Ā
(Back when he had his menagerie, Angor Rot had to provide a large variety of different diets to each of his animals.Ā Subsequently, one of his lesser known skills is easily learning what counts as a good meal for a specific living being and making it).
Who was nervous and shy on the first date
Strickler was the most nervous, entirely because his relationships with both Barbara and Angor Rot did not start well in the slightest (and that was due to his past actions).Ā He wants new relationships with them and he wants it to go well now, but heās not really sure how to start going about that (and also none of the advice he finds on the Internet or in books really covers the situations theyāve been through).
Secretly, Barbara and Angor Rot find this endearing.Ā While Stricklerās escaped to the bathroom to have a conversation with himself on how to proceed, they have a quiet conversation where they agree to give him a chance.
(unrelated, but it just occurred to me that these three would be fascinating in a The Good Place-type au, where theyāre taught ethics by someone else (maybe Blinky?) - I donāt see any of them in the role of the teacher there, but it would be interesting to see what kinds of things they could learn while striving to be better people).
Who kills/takes out the spiders
Barbara used to be merciless about destroying spidersā webs with a broom.Ā Then Angor Rot moved in, and eventually revealed he has an affinity for the insects.Ā To the extent that, after everything settled down following the Eternal Night, they became the first creatures he started to take care of again (in a similar fashion to the menagerie he kept before falling under Morganaās control).
Now, both Barbara and Strickler capture any spiders they find around the house in jars and leave them in the garage, which has been turned into a place to store terrariums for them/allow them to grow webs, for Angor.
At Halloween, the three gently relocate the spiders to various parts of the house to turn it into aĀ āhaunted houseā (thatās become a favorite among the children of Arcadia, because itās freaking terrifying).
Who loudly proclaims their love when theyāre drunk
Strickler, much to his embarrassment, is one of the most affectionate drunks to ever exist.Ā He always tries to downplay his very loving behavior once he sobers up.Ā However, both Barbara (who will admit it) and Angor Rot (who wonāt) find it endearing that he cares that much.
This is also how Strickler began to let his guard down and show more affection.Ā He realized his SOs liked that part of him (and didnāt necessarily see it as a weakness to be exploited), and started experimenting with being affectionate while sober more often.Ā After enough positive feedback, Strickler began to relax and soften up to the point where he could easily enjoy himself in their company.
