ABOUT

i’m going to start this off by calling out alex and noah for naming this girl after an inside joke. those fricking dorks. but anyway.

cynthia is a lot. she’s pretty much fight me personified. she’s brash, she’s impulsive, she always speaks her mind and she is pretty much fearless. honestly, she probably wasn’t the easiest kid for two new parents to raise. case and point - she prides herself on having put the most holes in walls throughout the house. i don’t know when she decided to start a running tally but she’s got it somewhere. then there was convincing her uncle to teach her how to ride a motorbike before she was actually allowed to (though it didn’t take that much convincing).

once she got to school nothing changed, which led to a lot of detention or trips to the principal’s office. she didn’t necessarily go out of her way to be defiant, she more just did what she wanted, or said what she wanted, and let the pieces fall where they may. she was fully aware of the rules, but she didn’t care to follow them if she didn’t agree. if she disagreed with the teacher, she’d speak up. and defend her point to death if necessary. same thing outside of class; if someone in the halls was saying something she didn’t like, or doing something something she didn’t like (usually bullying) she’d step in and, if they provoked her enough, kick their ass. she’s gotten into a few fights, that’s for sure. and then there were the occasions she’d ditch a class or two to go chill with liam during lunch. and she’s always down to pull a prank. on the plus side, she’s a remarkably good liar, especially under pressure, so she’s avoided more than few detentions.

long story short, she has a troublemaker reputation and the fact that she’s rocking a punk rock aesthetic probably doesn’t help matters. despite appearances, she’s surprisingly approachable. she’s the kind of girl who’ll strike up a conversation with almost anyone. she can be a bit much sometimes, but she means well, and if you befriend her she’ll be ridiculously loyal.

speaking of school, that’s where she got into baseball. she was surprisingly good at it in pe and made a hobby of it. at the first chance she got she joined the school baseball team. by her senior year of high school she was the team captain and she’s debating pursuing a career in the sport. right now it’s a toss up between that and law.

and while we’re on the subject of hobbies, skateboarding is definitely one of them. since the age of 8 or 9, cynthia’s been into skateboarding, which gradually grew into a punk rock style and general aesthetic. ripped jeans, plaid, leather jackets, band shirts, doc martins. all that jazz.

despite being the oldest, cynthia is definitely not the most responsible. she’s got the protective older sister thing down cold, though. especially when it comes to liam - bullies are one thing, but bullies that target her little brother? they better fricking watch themselves. honestly, mess with any of her siblings and she will fight you. like actually, physically fight you. her family is probably the most important thing to her. she’d do anything for those nerds.

Everly is very happy to be out of the castle and away from the royal life.  She enjoyed it growing up, but by the time she turned 18, she realized that life wasn’t for her and was very glad she was the last in line for the throne.  It allowed her to go out and live the life she wanted for herself, not the one she was born into and she loved the freedom of life in the outside world.  

Shortly after turning 18, Everly moved to LA to pursue a dance career and enrolled in as many classes as she could, in every style there was so she could work with as many choreographers as she could and hopefully make some connections in the dance world.  And after a few years, she got her first job as a background dancer for a tour.  So she got to travel the world and see things from a whole new perspective that she never got to when traveling with her mom.  

And ever since then, Everly hasn’t set down any roots.  She’s been bouncing back and forth between coasts and even different countries.  She’s had small background dancer parts in movie musicals, and went back to teach in one of the studios she used to dance for.  Recently, she’s choreographed a few national winning routines and was and assistant choreographer for a major award show performance, and Everly’s loved every last second of her life adventure.  But she does miss home and wants to start setting down some roots and perhaps start a family, but she’s content with her life right now and can live through her siblings with her nieces and nephews.  She just hopes she’s the cool aunt.

There was no doubt that Olive was going to have children later on in life. She wanted a big family just like her mother had wanted at her age. However Olive always debated back and forth between whether she wanted to adopt or have one of her own. Being raised from foster home to foster home she knew what it was like firsthand and there was millions of kids who needed a safe loving home. So her and her husband decided they’d start with one of their own and possibly later down the line adopt some. When Bowie was welcomed into the world Olive was ecstatic, even naming him after her favorite artist David Bowie. Growing up Bowie and Olive were two peas in a pod. Olive couldn’t even leave the room without three year old Bowie crawling as fast as he could behind her heels. Because of that he takes most after his mother. His childhood consisted of playing barefoot in the yard with his dog Scrappy Doo (yes bish.) Climbing all over uncle Remus like he was his personal jungle gym. Visiting his grandparents were always trips to remember too. Adding all the love and affection he received from his family Bowie had a fairly normal upbringing. Which molded him into the laid back person he was today.

There was a brief point in time where it seemed like Remus had really gotten himself straightened out. He’d focused harder on school, gotten sober, tried harder to be there for the people that he cared about. He did everything he could to turn his life around and he’d done such a good job that he’d made himself proud. It wasn’t easy but he’d gotten there. Somehow along the way he’d managed to win Allison’s heart, and he swore to himself that one day he would marry that girl. Along with his family she became the number one reason to do his best and be his best. He never expected her to end up pregnant. They were young and they weren’t prepared but he wasn’t disappointed in the idea of welcoming a baby into their lives. If anything he was excited. For the first time he was dealing with a sudden change that wasn’t a bad thing. He was going to stay by Allison’s side whenever she needed him there. He was going to drive to the store every night to satisfy her bizarre cravings. He was going to go with her to all of the doctor appointments. He was going to hold her hair back during morning sickness and come up with baby names and make sure she got enough rest and go through color swatches for the nursery for weeks or however long it took until she was one hundred percent happy. He was going to be there for her the way she always had been there for him him and he was going to be best damn father he could be to their child. Except, he wasn’t.

He wasn’t a father at all.

When the fear set in, it hit him all at once. Remus probably should have known he would freak out at some point, being who he was he probably should have talked to someone about it, but he had been too happy to see it coming. Unfortunately just like his childhood fear he’d grown up looking a lot like his biological dad, and the thought of actually being a dad made him wonder if he would be like him too. He woke up one night, got to thinking, got to panicking, and the next thing he knew he was on a one way flight to Minnesota with nothing more than two hundred bucks and a picture of Allison in his wallet. He was taking himself out of the equation, even if it made him miserable. He refused to hurt his child the way he’d been hurt. He realized a little too late that he’d done just that. For a year he didn’t contact anyone he knew. He was too ashamed and too angry with himself, and the more time that went on it became more obvious that he couldn’t go back. He couldn’t expect another second chance from Allison. She had a lot of family to look after her and the kid. They would be better off without him. He truly believed that.

During that time, being so alone and so broken up about his own choices, it took all of his self control to not pick up the bottle again. But he managed to stay sober. If not for himself, for the people that loved him and he had already damaged enough. He spent the rest of the next twenty years going from place to place, picking up and dropping odd jobs, occasionally checking in with family and friends but never staying long enough to answer many questions or ask any of his own. He didn’t want to know all of the things he’d missed out on his daughter’s entire childhood and her teen years. He couldn’t bear it. He already knew that he’d missed out on being there with Allison. And, God, did he miss her. He unfolded her picture every night, looking at it and telling himself that she was better now, that she was probably remarried and the three of them were a happy family, maybe with even more kids, and that both kept him going and kept him away. He wanted to talk to her again so bad he could hardly stand it. But everyone had a limit on forgiveness and he didn’t deserve hers. He didn’t the first time and he certainly didn’t now. He wasn’t going to crash into her life and screw it up all over again. He’d hurt her enough.

But he was tired of running. So he went back to Coolsville, he bought a house close to the one his parents had brought him into so many years ago, and he decided to settle down there. If Allison or his child ever did want to find him, to scream at him or demand an apology, they wouldn’t have to look too hard. That was what he was basically asking for. But if they wanted him out of their lives for good, that was exactly where he would stay.

It was no surprise that a Wilde child was going to be wild. (I will escort myself out thank you.) Usually when kids are little they usually take after one person or guardian who is influential in their life. But that wasn’t the case for Ryder. His personality was like a big mix of everyone from his family. He could be a smooth talker and quite charming like his uncle Danny, bold and brave like his mother, or soft spoken and compassionate like his father. Ryder is the second eldest child to Alex and Xoe. And after his mother had Echo it gave her a false sense of security that parenting was going to be easy. She thought that way until Ryder came along. Not that he was a bad kid but he was a little hellion as a child. Ryder never listened to his parents and explored on his own independently knocking everything out of his way. Like a vase on the living rooms coffee table. Coloring the walls with his art work, hiding his parents and siblings belongings. While his parents chased after him tirelessy Ryder thought it was hilarious. He was just this big ball of energy and his parents simply couldn’t keep up all the time.

the rundown

you would think that january and nick would be able to raise one kid that wasn’t....like them. unfortunately that wasn’t the case with their youngest. kimberly might have only been sixteen but she was kind of a big deal for her age. she was a mini january to put it lightly. she was bossy and cold. kimberly wasn’t exactly a people person unless she had to be. she even proceeded her older sister’s reputation as a diva and that was saying a lot since anya had her moments as well. however not many knew that kimberly was such a handful, mostly because she knew how to play the game and keep people guessing. she had a cute, angel face and she used that to her advantage. she played the sweet little girl card when she was around strangers or other important royals. but get on her bad side or have something that she wanted prepare for a storm. kimberly was an expert manipulator and knew how to get what she wanted. 

kimberly isn’t a bad apple all around there’s one thing she did get that her other siblings didn’t have she gained her grandfather’s love of the paranormal. of course she doesn’t say that a loud because that’s totally uncool and everyone would look at her funny. she has a reputation alright? she can’t ruin it by being the freaky ghost girl. despite not wanting to ruin her image, kimberly did love the paranormal. she would often bond with her uncle carter about his ghost encounters and adventures. she’s even been on a few herself with her cousins by her side. those are some of her fondest memories, even if they almost died. it’s fine.

fashion is in her blood. her mother was a model and so is her sister. so, it’s a no brainier that kimberly was going to dip her toes into the fashion world as well. she enjoys modeling but finds it tedious at times. she also doesn’t want to be compared to her older sister who has more than established herself in the fashion industry. thus, leading her to try out designing. it’s not the easiest but she’s already got her foot in the door thanks to her parents. the only thing kimberly has to do is maintain positive relationships with everyone and not have a diva meltdown. let’s see how long that lasts.

the rundown

Being a Bartholomew was interesting to say the least. For Draco, he felt like his family was a walking Halloween freak show. He did have a sister named October and he did hail from the spookiest town across the united states. It was still weird for Draco. While he embraced his roots at times he didn’t like being the walking ‘freak show’ or oddity to all. He basically felt like he was living in some Addams family meets Beetle juice movie. But he was alright with it. 

Much to his dismay Draco ended up taking on more of the darker sides of both his families more than he wanted to. Draco was the one the crazy gene didn’t miss. His parents always warned him not to call himself crazy because in their eyes he wasn’t. they were all a little odd but never crazy. Draco begged to differ. Besides it was easier to slap that label on himself before anyone else had the chance to. He knew the repercussions of labels all too well. 

Draco was a troublesome child from day one. He was always quiet and kept to himself. When did he engage with other kids  he was aggressive, often getting physical until he got what he wanted. Their son’s behavior did alarm his parents but Sophia only believed their son took after her a bit too much. She was known for being a bit aggressive herself and not a people person. However not to the extent her son was. They worried but both agreed it was a phase that he would grow out of. Unfortunately that’s not what happened. Not only did the behavior continued but it only got worse throughout the years. 

The first time he got suspended from school was in fifth grade, for giving a fourth grader a black eye to bring to show and tell. The second, stealing from other kid’s lockers in middle school. books, money, lunches, their backpacks. All was gone without a trace. It didn’t take long for anyone to catch onto the fact that Draco rarely felt any kind of remorse. Every time he acted out, he shrugged off each punishment, lecture, and then misbehaved again. It was an endless cycle. How he’s avoided arrest for some of the stunts he’s pulled is beyond everyone.

At fifteen, Draco’s parents shoved him into therapy. They didn’t want to and he certainly didn’t either but with his behavior only getting worse they were at their wits ends and saw no other option. The first few sessions, he didn’t say but a few words, but his parents kept pushing him to go and so he did, against his will. His therapist usually went about the same routine: he’d ask about Draco’s day, and then interrupt every so often to ask how something made me feel. To that Draco’s favorite answer became “it didn’t.” He rarely felt anything.

After two years in therapy, the Bartholomew's were finally given a official diagnosis for their son: antisocial personality disorder. His therapist saw it coming, and so did he, and his parents, but unfortunately for him only legal adults can be diagnosed sociopaths.

Draco doesn’t let his disorder define him by any means but at the same token he often uses it as an excuse for his terrible behavior. He knows he can only use the excuse for so long before he does land himself in some serious trouble but Draco plans to milk this diagnosis for as long as he can. He really doesn't see a reason to get better. It’s not like he’s killed anyone.
