Reposted from @ashley.morgan.jackson Worshipping God is a form of attack back on the Enemy. Not long ago I felt as though God was teaching me how to fight in the spirit. There was so much I was simply putting up with that had me on the ground and feeling anything but a conqueror. As one thing after another came into my life that pressed all my insecurity buttons I began to feel the need to run straight to worship. Instead of let it eat away at me or go talk about it with anyone who would listen, get myself in a room and sing like my victory depended on it. Think about it, if the Enemy is messing with you, his goal is to get you to shut down, mistrust God and others, build walls, and render you ineffective. He certainly has no intention of you praising God every time it happens. If we begin to do that, you're hitting him back, where it hurts. If the response to being attacked through our fears, insecurities, doubts and struggles was always worship, I wonder if the tactics would change? We are not fighting against flesh-and-blood enemies, but against evil rulers and authorities of the unseen world, against mighty powers in this dark world, and against evil spirits in the heavenly places." (Eph 6:12 NLT) We think it's that one girl, that one situation, that one whatever, but it's not. As we focus on who God is and all He has done for us in the middle of our hardest of circumstances, sooner or later, we find them less hard and our hearts more free. Fight like you know the victory is already yours, because it is! #walkingreflections What is your favorite worship song at the moment?
