Enjoy these homemade crispy Belgian waffles for a delightful breakfast or brunch treat. They are easy to make and perfect for customizing with your favorite toppings!
Ingredients: 2 cups all-purpose flour. 2 tablespoons sugar. 1 tablespoon baking powder. 1/2 teaspoon salt. 2 large eggs. 1 3/4 cups milk. 1/2 cup unsalted butter, melted. 1 teaspoon vanilla extract.
Instructions: Preheat your waffle maker according to the manufacturer's instructions. In a large mixing bowl, whisk together the flour, sugar, baking powder, and salt. In another bowl, beat the eggs and then add the milk, melted butter, and vanilla extract. Mix well. Pour the wet ingredients into the dry ingredients and stir until just combined. Be careful not to overmix; a few lumps are okay. Lightly grease the waffle maker with non-stick cooking spray or oil. Pour an appropriate amount of waffle batter onto the preheated waffle maker, close the lid, and cook until golden brown and crispy usually about 3-5 minutes, depending on your waffle maker. Carefully remove the waffle and serve immediately with your favorite toppings, such as maple syrup, fresh berries, or whipped cream.
