"hey, i was here first--" will snapped, not wanting to have to share a hunting ground with some stranger. they didn't trust people easily, especially not during something like this, and the last thing they needed was getting distracted around some random vampire. "seriously, move on."

"am i supposed to say something here? it feels like you're waiting for me to say something." will was never good with these kinds of things, even with getting to know more people their own age, they still struggled with how to interact with people.

"do you know where my phone is?" will moved through the living room on their hands and knees, trying to find where their phone had disappeared to, utterly convinced it was underneath the couch or something. this would be like what? the fifth phone they'd gone through this year? it was always falling out or getting crushed... "nora, please tell me you know where it is, you always know where it is!"

"what?" they looked back at him as he stood a little too close to them, taking a step away to put some distance between them. "i don't really like company, so why don't you go find another awning to hide from the rain under? cool? great, thanks."

"you're staring." will said after a few more minutes of watching the other watch them. sure, maybe it wasn't great to just blurt it out, but hey, she was the one staring first! that seemed like a decent opening to ask why, right? "can i help you with something or?"

“i believe someone cursed my baby brother.” wednesday did not really care much if the other person was listening to her, eyes staring straight ahead at them regardless. they would catch up. “he hasn’t aged a day, while i’ve grown. i suppose they must have acted faster than i could have.” she went on. “i should have thought about doing that myself, first.”

“i think people who hate spiders, just don’t pay enough attention to them. they believe they’re vile or unsanitary. when they’re quite the opposite.” wednesday spoke, voice monotone but matter of fact. “humans could learn a thing or two from them.”
