BUT. I know a lot of people read Enki as the divine warrior knowledge and a keeper of it. Travis being his reincarnation vs. The constant mystery of Vylad something something if Travis is was outsider and yet draws attention to him because he is so charismatic vs Vylad whose also an outside but almost seems to draw attention away from himself.

The idea of the reincarnation of knowledge falling for someone who so strongely represents the unknown and secretive.

That’s so interesting hearing how you got into vylavis! I never thought about it like that before.

For me, at first it was the contrast of their personalities that got me with Travis being very outgoing and Vylad being so quiet and like you said, mysterious.

But it’s also largely because of how they were born. For one thing, Travis feels like he’s this weird walking contradiction. His mom spent her whole life keeping the demon warlock at bay and Travis eventually followed in her footsteps. But then he’s also the son of them both? It’s been a long time since I rewatched, but I’m pretty sure it’s canon that Travis hates the demon part of himself. I don’t think he himself understands why his mom ended up having a kid with the demon warlock and it’s a large part of himself that he struggles with. It makes him feel like a monster and everyone being scared of him (that’s the reason why he lives in a cave in season 3 I think?? It’s been way too long)

And with Vylad being a Shadow Knight, he also has this large part of himself that he hates. He also feels like a monster.

He was also born out of this controversial affair and has been made to feel like less because of it just like Travis.

I see them both feeling like they shouldn’t exist. Travis is barely human, being half of what his mother hated and fought against for so long. And Vylad was always the outsider of his family, and then died and came back with the purpose to harm others.

If I remember correctly Travis was hated by the village people for his relation to the demon warlock. Even if he protected them. And that was probably the majority of his life since his mother died, very little interaction with people and what interaction they does have is very negative.

Vylad is very much the same, he was tortured and kept in isolation for a very long time, longer than 15 years as the nether has a different time dilation. 2 weeks in the nether = a day I believe and he was there potentially for longer since he was locked up not even halfway through S1. He wasnt interacting with people besides probably gene and Sasha who tortured him.

Okokokokok sosososo !!! Throughout the course of Memories Travis and Vylad actually get pretty close around the "Emerald Secret" part of the timeline, and afterwards Vylad is part of Travis's support system when RECOVERING from the things that happened at the "lodge". They are so, Attached by the time the Starlight era happens actually its really cute !!

I've never really seen or considered this one... Since you didn't list a series, I'm gonna use MCD since that's your pfp. Seriously sorry if that's not what you intended or wanted.

I can see the aesthetic appeal, what with Born Demonic X Made Demonic, and that is something that could potentially bring them together. On top of that, despite their rather deceiving exteriors, they tend to carry the weight of the world with them, which is also a potential point of connection. I also once saw someone point out just how secretive they both are. As for them actually getting into a relationship, it can be hard for me personally to see Vylad get involved in romantic and/or sexual relationships, however, there is potential, especially with MCD Vylad. If they were to fall in love, I could see it being something of a slow burn where they grow closer over time as they learn just how similar they are and being there for each other.
