Turkey vulture
Pretty girl
tbh vultures are so underrated just because they're "ugly" and gross, but they're actually really helpful to the environment :3 since they mainly eat carrion (already dead prey), they act as a natural disease + bacteria control and keep balance in the ecosystem!!!! they may poop and pee all over their legs to stay cool on hot days but THATS OKAY!!!! despite how intimidating they look, they're very social and loving birdies!! of course, NEVER AS PETS!!!! when vultures are captive in a sanctuary/rescue, ive noticed they're very sweet and not very aggressive. i love all vultures, but my favorites are probably turkey vultures, egyptian vultures, bearded vultures, and black vultures.
this has been my vulture yap.............mwahahahahhhhha >:))c
I’m thinking about vultures again.
They are so amazing I love them so much, what wonderful birds. They do so much to protect us and they don’t get NEARLY the amount of recognition they deserve.
I need to start acting like the number one vulture fan. I’m gonna start excitedly updating every time I see one in real life. I’ll be snapping blurry photos of them in the sky like paparazzi.
They’re so freaking cool I love these birds so much.

Dropping in to share this new sign I just finished making for my booth (plus some rambly updates and things) :)
I've been seeing a too-large quantity of AI "art" booths at markets these days and it is always incredibly off-putting, moreso when the seller makes no attempt to indicate AI as their content source. A few months ago I stumbled across a few art vendors here on The Internet™ sharing "🚫AI" signage they've made for their booths. I love the idea of indicating when work is person-made without question -- it feels all too important, especially with the current overwhelming use of AI image generation.
The idea to make some form of "No AI" booth sign had been rattling around in my noggin for a hot second now and I'm glad to have finally made it! I saw a photo of a vulture sunning on a road sign and realized it would be so fun to illustrate the composition and this cowboy vulture fella feels very on brand. Enjoyed getting to use my new font a little more too :)
I am considering making a sticker version of this guy with a slightly smaller sign/message. Any interest in an anti-AI cowboy vulture sticker? Though I realize this may be way too oddly specific, do lmk!
Anyway! Sorry for the absence lately - my fatigue and PsA flare up has been rough this month and I feel like I've been playing catch up and simultaneously falling so behind on absolutely everything (while ALSO feeling like I've been run over). Many balls are being dropped, unfortunately, but I'll be attempting to labor away at the sisyphean task of catching up on emails and messages while I'm traveling this month (I am embarrassingly behind, which for some reason makes it feel harder to read/respond to anything at all. Genuinely very sorry, I'm working on it).
Market season is picking back up and this week I've been devoting most of my time to doing prep work for it, which means lots and lots of excel sheets, material restocking, inventory, and sticker/print manufacturing and packing for the two big Missouri markets I'll be at this month. Which, if you're at either oddity market in Springfield (MO) or Kansas City, please come say hi!! I'll have goodies with me that I haven't yet shared to the Internet!
