❛ oh ! ❜ he turns to face her, looking down at the book in his hands. it was one he hadn’t recognized in the library, and that was a rare find. he had thought he had read every book in the library three times over, but it seems one had missed his notice. he’s a little reluctant to give it up, but he’d never be so rude, instantly handing it over to her.

he shakes his head,   fingers tapped to his temple.    ❝   besides,   even if it did,   i think you are a fine noble.   you are thoughtful and sweet,   and you are always trying your hardest !   those are admirable traits in any person.   ❞

@vuari said to edelgard, "th-thanks for letting me borrow your notes, edelgard... again..." she's sheepish, but her gratitude is genuine. the past few days have been rough for no good reason, it leaves her locked in her room, not even leaving to attend lectures. "but, um, there was something i wanted to ask you about... n-not about class, just your notes... i, uh, tried not to look at them too much, but i liked the little doodles you put in the margins... th-they're really nice!!"

     “oh––!”  no, no, her face is not burning red, only a little pink.  she hadn’t even thought twice about bernadetta borrowing her notes.  she hopes that it is simply what anyone would do for another.  the world isn’t that kind, in actuality, but it’s nice to think.  especially given edelgard’s own problems, her own days where she cannot crawl out of bed - it is kindness in return. “thank you, bernadetta.”
