i think sometimes using “unnatural” to mean “not supposed to be there” is muddying. like. cancer is plenty natural. cysts are plenty natural. they are, however, not supposed to be there, and trying to view them as something more inclusive than abnormal is just kind of pointless, imo, and not at all the same as using “unnatural” to refer to a disability or adaptation thereto. and i know the lines between illness and disability are murky, but like. it is sometimes useful to be able to talk about how things are not in fact working the way they are supposed to and how that can be bad, actually.
