“What is the matter with you?” Nora says to Mary Louise after getting home from a house party.

Mary Louise hated social gatherings especially stupid teenage keg parties, but she went anyway because her girlfriend insisted. Nora loved parties and socializing, a little too much sometimes. There was another woman at the party flirting with Nora hard as Mary Louise watched from a distance after grabbing them both another drink from the kitchen. What fuelled her anger was Nora’s bubbly personality carelessly flirting back. Mary Louise had seen enough and pushed through the crowd back to her girlfriend.

“Here is your drink, love.” She says to Nora, ignoring the other girl entirely.

“Hi! We were just chatting, I’m-“ The girl tries to speak.

“Yes, well thank you for keeping my girlfriend company in my absence. Please excuse us.” Mary Louise says bluntly before lightly pulling Nora away.

“What was that about?” Nora asks.

“Nothing. You know I do not like conversing with strangers.”

“You’ve got to loosen up a little babe.”

“Mm.” Mary Louise hums, partially in disagreement.

“How about we finish these drinks and head home?” Nora suggests.

“That is a grand idea, my love.” Mary Louise gives a faint smile, happy to get the hell out of here.

Her tension eases as time passes and they finish their drinks. Nora is ready to go, until a catchy song comes on…

“Oh my god! I love this song! Please can you stay for one more dance love?”

“I don’t think so…” Mary Louise looks to the very crowded living room turned dance floor. “But you go dance, have fun my love. I shall warm the car for us.”

“Are you sure?” Nora says hesitantly.

“I’m sure.” She gives a reassuring smile.

“Ok well, I’ll see you in a minute!” Nora quickly kisses her cheek and runs off to the dance floor.

Mary Louise finds the car and blasts the heat, the chilled night turned the inside of the car cold. She pulls it up to the front of the house and waits for Nora. After a few minutes she was still not coming out. Mary Louise calls her phone multiple times and Nora doesn’t answer. With a frustrated sigh, she puts the car in park and goes back into the house to find Nora. She assumes she just got caught up in another song she was feeling, and she was right…

Through the crowd of the living room she saw Nora still dancing. Only now, she had her arms around the girl who had been flirting with her earlier. They weren’t dancing super close but her hands on Nora’s hips as Nora had hers carelessly wrapped around her shoulders. The sight had Mary Louise fuming. She storms off and drives back home alone. She is still anxiously standing in the common area of their house when Nora gets home.

“What the hell Mary Louise!” Nora stomps into the room. “You just disappeared and left me there! What is the matter with you?”

“I came looking for you but I did not want to interrupt all your fun.” Mary Louise snips.

“What are you talking about?”

“You were dancing with that girl!”

“So? I made a friend and we danced to a song! I’m allowed to dance with my friends Mary Louise.”

“I know that! I know. And I am not stopping you from ever dancing with friends but she… She did not look at you like a friend.”

“You’re jealous!” Nora says annoyed but a small smirk threatens to cross her lips.

“I’m not jealous! It’s just… you’re mine!”

The world freezes for a moment before Nora steps closer towards her girlfriend. Taking in her facial expression, frustrated, jealous, protective, and something else feral in her that looked like a band about to break.

“You’re so fucking hot when you’re mad.” Nora gives a devilish smirk, standing only an inch away.

Mary Louise scoffs, not in an annoyed way but in a self conscious way. Sometimes she couldn’t believe how someone as beautiful and perfect as Nora could love someone like her for over a hundred years.

“You are the only girl I have eyes for.” Nora says firmly, placing a hand on the side of Mary Louise’s neck, forcing her to meet her eyes. “You are the only person I think about, the only one I want.”

Before Mary Louise could argue Nora presses her lips to hers. She didn’t resist, instantly giving into Nora who pulled her closer by the hips as Mary Louise’s hand moves to Nora’s neck before lightly gripping her throat.

“I think you may simply need a reminder that you are the only girl I have eyes for too. That you are mine.” Mary Louise says possessively.

She pulls Nora towards the bedroom, the both of them sharing kisses in between. Nora giggles at the change in Mary Louise’s energy as she smashes her lips back to hers when the door shuts and rushes to unzip both of their dresses. They fall into a tangle of limbs onto the bed, tongues dancing together.

“You are the most beautiful thing I have ever seen.” Mary Louise says, looking down at Nora lovingly.

Nora goes to respond but is cut off by her own gasp as Mary Louise’s fingers find her centre. She moves her lips to Nora’s neck as her fingers work slow circles above the fabric that have her gasping and gripping Mary Louise’s arm.
