Vought OU-1 Seaplane assigned to USS OKLAHOMA (BB-37) flies overhead, near San Diego, California.

Date: February 23, 1930

USS MISSISSIPPI (BB-41) and USS MARYLAND (BB-46) transit the Panama Canal. Based on their direction, they are heading east to the Atlantic Ocean via the Caribbean Sea.

Note: the Naval Aircraft Factory PN-9 seaplane on the fo'c'sle of MARYLAND. On her fantail are a pair of Vought OU-1 and on her third turret is a de-engined PN-9.
