You aren't any less asexual for your interests. You aren't "less of an ace-spec person" for being a demisexual person in a relationship that involves sex. Feeling alienated from allos AND aces is a difficult experience, but you are still valid.

Volosexual
A person who does not feel sexual attraction in general but may feel sexual attraction after deciding they want to have sex with a person, or after fantasising about having sex with the person.
"Volosexual/romantic just sounds like allosexual/romantic."
Honestly, I fully understand where you're coming from. I've been made aware that back in 2015 there was even a few people (and by that I mean like five) that wanted to use Volo instead of Allo (I didn't know this at the time of creating the labels).
There are some key differences and I think the best way to describe it is by using fairly well known labels! Volo is more of a mix of demi and cupio. There may by attractionless fantasies for a period of time, or a want to be with a person without any attraction, until suddenly it develops. There's no attraction to the person in question or anyone else, and it doesnt develop when you decide you want to be with them, it can develop anywhere from months to years after.
To my knowledge, many allos will feel sexual or romantic attraction to people they don't even know! Things like supposed love at first sight, or thinking someone on the street is sexually attractive, that is allo.
are you the one that denied volosexuality exists?? If so :/
given i have no idea what volosexuality is, no. If a term fits you, whether coined by you or others, then that is valid: your feelings are valid simply because you feel them.
from what i gather, volo orientations are being entirely and completely encompassed by your feelings for that person, right? correct me if i’m wrong. If you want to use the term volosexual/romantic to describe yourself and that, then go right ahead.Â
I just want to say though that that sounds like it could get unhealthy and out of hand (in the sense of it hurting you, or others) if others don’t return your feelings, so I hope you stay safe and practice good self care if someone doesn’t feel as deeply for you as you do for them
Instead of using 'Allosexual/romantic to mean non-asexual, why can't we use 'Volosexual/romantic'?
Latin root meaning 'want'
Easy to read and pronounce
Not currently used to my knowledge for any other meaning
Allosexual is harmful to use as it is already a term, and it is not used for self-identification
