Deity Project: Demigod Damus Dusksmith
Chosen Champion for The God of The Forge, Volis
For every hero, they carry a weapon that often lives beyond them, carrying their legend with them. Any weapon can become legendary, but its worth noting that all weapons have to be made. For every popular legendary weapon in The Lands, it is likely that they were forged by one blacksmith, Damus Dusksmith.
Damus was born and raised in the southern hills beyond Llerywood into a family of blacksmiths. A gentle yet determined soul that eventually traveled to Bel Vols, the volcanic eastern islands in search of new techniques and craftsmanship of constantly evolving weapons. He eventually settled down there and founded his own forge. His choice of location allowed for his forge to be powered by the very lands themselves and yet relax in the frequent hot springs in his downtime.
It is said that Damus has forged weapons out of all kinds of materials like sunlight, the light of the two moons and the glass from Volis himself. Not only that, but upon being chosen as his champion, has seen Volis’ Forge with his own eyes.
Damus has won five trials for The God of the Forge, Volis. Whilst he has won some battles for Volis, most of his trial wins are those that allowed him to test his craftsmanship. He claims his finest work he ever made was not of any weapon, but of a creation of a small intricate clockwork figurine dancing between two dragons made of volcanic glass as they flew through the dancers hoops.
