i chose this song to illustrate the pure manipulation of their relationship, i think that at one point baby gave in, realized the only way they could leave was to give him what he wanted, them. he wanted every ounce of their soul if it meant he was loved, and thats what they did, they "loved" him. it became easy to do so when he did the same.

it got to the point where they would do anything maintain that love. that they would give anything to maintain the idea that they would leave, and their life would resume.

it took the nightmare for them to realize that he didnt love them, that when he said they would never leave, that they we're stupid to think so, that he would do anything to keep them there, even if it meant they would get hurt. and he meant that, no matter how many times he said otherwise, unconscious or not; he meant it.
