Ah, thank you! I gotta admit, I opened up my final draft file yesterday since I wanna post it to AO3, and...yeah, wow. Lots of ellipses there, that's all I'm gonna say. And that’s after I thought I edited most of them out. Geez louise.

I find the idea so completely alien, immense, and existentially terrifying that I cannot even conceptualize it.  Like, I try, and my brain is just like “Man, my bathroom floor is really dirty, and I need to clean it. What’s for dinner? I want to paint my nails later.”

It’s really cool, if that’s the case.  And I am really glad that there are people out there thinking about these things, I am a big fan of science and theoretical cosmic stuff.  But it also has no effect on me whatsoever, so unless someone brings it up, I don’t think about that sort of thing much.

Well, that’s not fair.  I think about the Orion molecular cloud complex a lot because it’s so cool and beautiful and vivid and alive and full of hope, but I think my mind just draws a line in the sand at black holes and doesn’t let me think about them too much.  They scare the crap out of me.  

A lot of cosmic-scale shit scares the crap out of me.  Like, I get genuinely cold and shaky thinking about how one current theory has the universe expanding and expanding until everything is so far apart no two units of matter are closer than a light year together.  Or something like that.  So I don’t so much like to think about the end of things.  Ends of planets, stars, galaxies being pulled apart, black holes devouring matter.  I am very, very attached to my life and my consciousness and my individuality and my independence, and anything that threatens those things makes me either utterly terrified or unreasonably angry.  Black holes make me both.
