Hee-ho! Been a bit quiet. Mostly just low on energy. Not Sky related! Still love playing the game! ^^

Confetti Cousin from the Season of Belonging returned. The normal version, that is. Can't wait for the day we get the fancy stuff. ^^

Alas, as usual with dyes; gradients and details. It's the inside of the cape and the diamonds near the neck. The bow also only gets a gradient. Was really hoping for a full color change. Oh well. --

So, here we are. Dear Van Gogh.

One of the things I appreciate a lot is a small warning that the story will have heavy themes in it. Yeah, seems appropiate to add.

Still a bit weird to get more detailed human designs in Sky now. After all this time having the simplified looks.

But the season is pretty straight forward.

Going through the ages and reliving Van Gogh's moments from his letters.

I absolutely adore the style of the scenes. Yellow canvas with outlines. So you get to build the world as you walk through it.

And the actual colored scenes are gorgeous! They have a great atmosphere and the scenery is such a depature from the fantastical world of Sky.

A normal countryside. Nothing exceptional. Beauty in the mundane. Everything in this season screams that it is gonna be different from a normal Sky season. And I'm already here for it. ^^

Of course there is a role for the player outside of just witnessing everything.

Delivering the letters between Vincent and Theo.

And on top of that you get a full recreation of Van Gogh's paintings in Sky. That is so neat! Totally worth taking the screenshots to put somewhere! ^^

Do appreciate they made a more specialized area for the crossover seasons instead of just a tall circular room with way too much empty space. Also the cinema now being a more dedicated area of its own.

Of course, have to show off the anniversary cap and exclusive creator awards cap. Definitely prefer the black. Makes the stars pop out more.

And Light Whisperer from the Season of Flight returned. Flight crew my beloved! They will always hold a special place for me. ^^

Kinda wish the last blue hakf of the outfit could be dyed. Would be perfect then. Alas...

But hey, chance to get bird hair accessory! And the hairstyle which is a great upgrade for anyone who likes the basic moth hair. :D

The creator awards show was a lot of fun! Glad I got to witness the last half before it ended. ^^

Also the small sneak peak for the next season. The texture is so fascinating. Really took the painting and turned them into a 3d area. :0

Yeah, no. I'm not climbing that. At least the tickets are on the bottom platform.

Hey! Hope you are doing well! First of all traveling spirit returned.

Greeting Shaman from the Season of Gratitude returned. Kinda sad with the mask customization here. Just that little marking being the only dyeable spot. Oh well, always such the case.

And then we have the start of the Sky Anniversary!

Don't forget to check on the items you can get. As always there is an event prop.

There is a pretty fun activity im the office area, outside the usual party schedule. Near the office entrance you can talk to a spirit that let's you play a game of "Spot the Spirit." There are a bunch of spirits walking through the office, each with a different set of cosmetics and you gotta find the one that matches the template here. A pretty fun activity! ^^

Oh hey, it's the eyclusive Nintendo area. Normally you need a cape that you can only get on the Switch veraion of the game. Pretty neat area because you are locked into a 2d plane in it until you reach the end. You know, like Super Mario.

Gotta appreciate that during the Sky Anniversary all of these exclusive area become avialable to everyone. ^^

Sad that Season of Carnival ends soon. Ah well, there is always the next season. Also the extra seasonal candles will help bump my current candle stash. ^^

Adore the Carnival Puzzle Director's friendship event to be a little corner you get to set up. Very wholesome. ^^

Time to show off the free cosmetics. And there is actually some pretty nice stuff.

Of course, I always get excited for new outfits. Especially the Carnival stuff has so much whimsy in its cosmetics. ^^

Adore Carnival Athletic Dancer's poofy pants. Need more of those around. And Carnival Stunt Actor's cape! Need more capes with unique shapes! Dyeing the items is always an issue, sadly. --

But of course I really hope Carnival Juggler comes back as a traveling spirit soon. Would love to complete their set. ^^

Overall, really loved this season. Lots of new tools that people already mess around with. Sometimes I see myself just doing a shared space challenge for the fun of it while doing a candle run. It does also help that challenges give a bit of candle wax. X]

Outside of that, the main carnival area just has a ton of fun stuff to play around with. It's very big as well so you get to really explore how big you can make challenges. Good playground! Also it has a ferris wheel...

I will be honest, I almost completely forgot that there were a bunch of returning spirits. Well "spirits."

Vestige of a Deserted Oasis, Memory of a Lost Village, Echo of an Abandoned Refuge, Remnant of a Forgotten Haven all coming back from the Season of Revival.

Understandable that the season didn't have any proper spirits in it since it is basically the tutorial of the game now.

I spend close to 400 candles to get all the rest of the cosmetics. And since this season was right as the devs decided to make shoes their own category, most of the cosmetics are shoes. --

Kinda wish the capes would the capes would take the colors better. As usual... But this time it really annoys me with the Deserted Oasis cape because I really like the design of that one. Meh. --

Finally getting to the last act of the Season of Carnival.

All the games are set up, now just need visitors. And Carnival Guide wants you to get them!

And of course you are gonna do the labor of plastering around flyers. Actually pretty fun to see the spirits react to the carnival ads. ^^

And all of a sudden everything is lively!

Adore the spirits in the ball pit. ^^

Kinda surprising how quick this season felt. I guess if you have fun, time flies fast. X]

But genuinely great season! It's mostly about the new props and challenges you can create. But I've seen people create a bunch of really useful shared spaces around Sky. For example, using the jump pads to quickly get up the Vault. Or just have them around for the little extra candle light you get.
