♛: Sharing a dessert
“It’s so gooood,” she squealed in delight, between petite bites of her lemon tart. Indulgence, Zuriel had discovered, was always the best in moderation. But peeling her eyes away from the pastry, she looked up at Kanata, who was calmly sipping at his tea with a countenance of disinterest. That needed to be fixed.
She carefully placed another piece onto her fork and raised it towards his face. “Do you want a bite? You’re the one who’s treating me today, it’s not fair if I’m the only one enjoying everything.”
Honestly, she half-expected him to push it away from his face. When he leaned forward with a sigh and chomped on the end of her fork, she broke into a grin. “See? It’s tasty, right?”
