I had a dream about Mitsuru-senpai.

“I never said it was dumb, mademoiselle.”

Mitsuru’d laughed lightly taking the smaller girl into her arms to pull her into a warm hug. Pale fingers ran through the short hair of her lover, a tender smile curling her lips out of pure satisfaction. It had been far too long since she’d seen her stal-admirer turned lover.

“Je t'aime, mon amour~”

“Step on bullying? Feels rather elementary don’t you think? Though it could catch on at that age group, perhaps.”

Of course she’d humor the stammering girl. It was always blatantly obvious when she was lying to cover up some silly mistake she’d made. But it just made her even cuter than before.

“Can hug? Do you wish for a hug, dear Chikako?”

With a wink, she opened her arms to the younger girl for an embrace.

❝ Y-Yeahit’sdumbnevermind. ❞

Even if she didn’t think it was dumb, she was obviously going to agree with Mitsuru as quickly as she could. She was the smart one after all! The wink almost made her fall over once again, but she managed just so she could wrap her arms around her. She was doing it. She was... She was hugging Mitsuru. She was- She was actually doing it! She had to use every bit of willpower in her body not to lean down a bit and press her face into her-

She couldn’t help the chuckle that her exasperated friend caused.

“I’m glad to see you, dear Chikako. It has been far too long.”

Step on….? She didn’t hear that. Nope.

❝ S-Step on bullying! It’s... A slogan I thought of. For... A-Anti-bullying. ❞

She happened to think she managed to pull it back, even despite being an awful liar. Even despite being an even worse liar when it came to Mitsuru. She managed for once.

“I’ve missed you quite dearly, Chikako.”

❝ I-I-I- m-m-mi-mis- ❞

It seemed she was having trouble speaking from the floor. At least she wasn’t unconscious, that was a definite improvement.

❝ M-Missed y-you too! S-So much! S-Step on m- ❞

WINKS AT.

Order must be restored into this school...

❝ Someone at school today spoke bad about Mitsuru-senpai, so I     punched them right in the face!!! ❞

❝ Or I would have, but they ran away. It’s their fault. ❞

That desire to just have someone’s attention, Saki found she couldn’t relate to it. If she had a crush on someone, she told them. Noticing that the other girl had a bit of a distant look in her eyes, Saki wondered if she could walk away and not be missed at all.

Ah, she speaks!

Perhaps she was sticking her nose where it didn’t belong. Wouldn’t be the first time nor the last, but the girl had come to her for help therefore it couldn’t hurt to ask.

“…if, she does notice you then what?”

❝ Then I’d be happy just to be in Mitsuru-senpai’s thoughts... And then     maybe I could try to talk to her! And... Try to get closer! And     eventually maybe we could hold hands or something- Ah, it’s so     embarrassing... ❞

She says that like she hadn’t spoken about her imagining doing worse with Mitsuru before. Multiple times. Almost all the time. Really, it’s all her dreams ever are.
