From what I've been told, it's a state of being people enter every night when they go to sleep...but they have no recollection of it. If one can successfully enter the void state while they're awake and be aware of that, they'll have the ability to manipulate their very reality. Change their appearance, shift to different timelines or realities (some people have said they visited places like Hogwarts and Attack on Titan), etc. I personally have yet to do any of the above, but there's been multiple success stories of those who have. I freely admit I'm still new to all this. Like you, tho, I thought it sounded interesting. Neville Goddard was one of the people who began discussing the void state - also known as the "I am" state - in the 50s.

All of this falls under the metaphysics/mysticism umbrella, of course. Now for my peace of mind, I had to make sure no witchcraft of any kind was involved, because I personally am not about that life. (No judgment to anyone who is, tho!) But I'm not opposed to seeing if I can somehow alter my reality by doing some breathing techniques or whatever while listening to bilateral beats. Worst case scenario, it doesn't work. Best case scenario, I've got a certain Prussian kommandant to romance😏 Also have a Gestapo major to throughly irritate, a Senior POW Officer to drive up the wall and a snarky, violence-loving Brit to introduce my best friend to. Somebody needs to get him a woman to romance instead of a door🤣

its NOT, Detroit is the Void it exists everywhere and nowhere you set foot in the city limits and blackout, you wake up four years later with no clothes, no car, no family, nothing. the void is the space between dimensions, infinite dimensions for infinite possibilities, INFINITE VOID except with every possibility represented there’s one where there ISN’T other dimensions so no void so no Detroit, its the Detroit Paradox, there isn’t any lakes in Detroit either they’re gone. Detroit is where the government does bomb testing that you don't hear about, they drop it and its GONE into the void they do that to see if it can escape, nothing ever does, nothing can escape Detroit, it takes everything, your mind, your heart, your soul, everything GONE, it’s expanding too, you already forgot what state it’s in didn’t you, it’s in Michigan (which also isn’t real but for different reasons) Detroit Is Not Real and there is nothing you can do but run. Everything is gone you blackout once you enter and wake up naked cold and afraid in Wyoming {still not real}, if you even wake up at all
