Break Them Down to Break it Down Unlike the past Tips where I talk about health and wellness from a physical standpoint id like to make a little shit to a deeper level that goes past your vocal chords. Your MIND!!! As artist the one off the strongest enemies that we fight against is our mind. I know how it is when the nerves get you; you have performance that you are prepared for and could bet your life on but all of a sudden a pool of possibilities rush into your mind. You may start to think of the things that could go wrong. When the music starts you become short of breath, your voice gets tight and constricted , you get cotton mouth , you may start to tremble even. you exit the stage disappointed because you know that your abilities are better than what you have just displayed, but somewhere in your mind insecurities got the best of you. As complex as the mind can be, its very simple to give in to its tricks and trades effecting how we sing and perform. I want you all as singers to remember and work on empowering yourself in your mind. Don't let experiences that you could enjoy, grow, and learn from in the stage, in front of the camera, or in the recording booth slip away from you. Musically, Avery and Amadi
