I tried doing the whole diet pop thing for awhile but I switched to water eventually. BUT anything but regular Coke (No pepsi, no PC cola, none of that) with alcohol is a waste of good alcohol.
I mostly drink bottled water because the tap water tastes like chlorine. I like having something to mix with my rum, but you're right. Anything that isn't real Coke is a waste of alcohol. Coke brings out the caramel and vanilla flavours in the rum, whereas Pepsi just makes it taste like a chemical spill.

I've been drinking it lately instead of coke because it has no sugar but holy shit I can't stand it with alcohol. It tastes like sadness and regret.
