*omega and green rod were sitting on top of building at the edges of it's roof having some lunch*
green rod (swinging legs back and forth): mmmm~ this is so good, i didn't know there was São-subs place that opened up around here. these Beirute sub-sandwichs are great! *she takes another bite of the custom large sub made of Melted cheese, sliced fresh tomatoes with oregano, lettuce leaves, roast beef on pita bread that was shaped like a sub with mayonnaise in it.*
omega: *taking a bite of a Bauru he order for himself made of Melted cheese, roast chicken, tomato, and pickled cucumber.* oh, that's really good.
green rod: okay! how about. . . favorite punk rock band?~
omega: hmmm well i like the Stranglefellows and the P.O.Ds
and the Mighty Crabjoys.
*green rod chuckles* green rod: those are pop radio bands; they're not punk rock! you can't chose them~
omega: okay well, a lot of people love them. and their songs are about doing things right instead of wrong and fighting for those good things; so maybe that's the real punk rock.
*green rod laughs* green rod: oh man~ you're killing me here with these answers bro~
*omega stops a second and looks at her* green rod: . . .what?
omega: you just called me bro, nobodies ever called me their brother before.
green rod: what?! no! you're reading to much into the bro thing.
omega: do you see me as a brotherly figure green rod~ *he said with a teasing tone*
green rod: knock it off~ *she lightly elbows him in the side* stop teasing me you not-punk jerk~
*omega chuckles after getting jab by green rod's elbow*
green rod: not that i haven't thought about having a big family but. . . with just me and my mom, i don't think that's not really something that could happen. . .
omega: don't you have a dad?
green dad: he's. . not really around all that much. (face looks slightly dejected)
omega: o-oh i'm-i'm sorry i didn't know, i can't really imagine what that's like.
green rod: it's fine (expression readjusts), i mean we've only just started working together so your not gonna know everything about me, so don't worry about saying something on your mind if you don't know anything about it.
. . . . . (slight silence) green rod: alright! how about. . . . what'd you say you miss the most when you're not being a hero?
omega: uh; my parents. (omega feels a little awkward saying after what green rod said; and there's a little pause between the answer) my dad was a great guy, really helped built a good life with my mom at our home so we could live comfortably, But taught me to never take the good for granted. He'd say, "Be prepared! Just when you think you found your way, life will throw you on a new path".
green rod: What do you do when it does? (listening closely)
omega: hmm; Don't give up. Take it one step at a time and. . . (trying to think of what say but is not sure)
green rod (slightly interrupts but not rudely): Just do the next right thing?
omega: yeah; yeah you got it~ (he lightly shoulder bumps her with a smile) you know i think you're gonna make a great hero with answers like that. don't forget that. (green rod cracks a smile from that and eats her Beirute)
omega: can i ask a question now?
green rod: no! it's still my turn on twenty questions~ (her tone is more cheerful)
omega: i don't think that's how the game works.
green rod: well that's how i play it!~ and i still got 9 more! so uhh what about. . . (they continue this for a while before going back to being a superhero mentoring a new sidekick)
